The third suggestion I do it all the time, but I usually «speed it up» even more by copying the bottom square/rectangle/shape and then placing it with Shift+Ctrl (or Command)+V, to place it in the same place where the original is, and then, simply selecting everything and clipping the design... 4:42 for those wondering how to make it perfect select the rectangle tool and click once and type in the project dimensions then go to windows and open the align panel to align vertically and horizontally, then go to layers and click the space next to the eye to lock it

The first mask really is very useful to me. I used to create a copy of the original text to retain editablity and then outline the text to mask it where it was then not showing any text editing feature. But this way is way better

Masks are the bane of my existence, and more so in Photoshop. I'm likely still going to struggle with how they work despite having watched this tutorial, but this really blew my mind. It's like my brain is in a million tiny pieces! :o.

lol rebuild it one by one :P Masks don't need to be that trick, and of course practice makes perfect. I am still stumped by some mask functions in PS though

The last clipping mask trick i think you can only used that for final rendering of your work because when you activated the clipping mask with both object you selected it will only combine the two and you cannot move every object you want to. Btw this tutorial is very helpful for beginners like me and i will apply it in every work im doing.
