friends you'll need the following ingredients:
for gulab jamun batter:
25g semolina(2 & 1/2 tbsp)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cardamom,nutmeg & mace powder (just grind these three ingredients to make powder)
water ice cold as required (pour some ice in 1 cup water and use that)
180g ghee(clarified butter) (1 cup is equal to 195g ghee)
250g half cream milk powder( 1 cup is equal to 100g half cream milk powder)
125g (1 cup all purpose flour is equal to 125g)
for sugar syrup
1kg sugar
2 cup water
ghee for frying
note:
1.if you feel you made the batter too liquidy keep it aside let it dry for longer till you can easily make a ball out of it
2.the sugar syrup og gulab jamun is not supposed to be thick so be careful with that if you make it thick the gulab jamun will not be able to soak the sugar syrup properly
3.don't fry at very hot temperature the gulab jamun will get color from outside and will stay raw from inside .
4. while making batter try to remove as many lump as you can other wise when cooking gulab jamun even the smallest lump will get bigger because gulab jamun rises.
