Legendary Canadian heavy metal band 3 Inches of Blood played their final 2 shows at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC November 7th & 8th, 2015. This is their story.
One of my favorite bands. I was lucky enough to see them on the Advance and Vanquish tour and the Fire up the blades tour. Both times Jamie was still in the band.
I would have loved too seen those tours man..I've been a fan since "battle cry.." these guys literally brought the classic metal sound back.. Canada has some serious talent nowadays with bands like Cauldron, Skullfist, and Stryker just to name a few..
To this day I have still never heard a reason, they put out a documentary about how much they love touring and then broke up like within a year of it, mind boggling
3 Inches of Blood is still one of my favorite bands to this day. They brought something new to a genre that hadn't seen much innovation lately. Wish they could come back
100% agree man. They were also the band that got me into metal. At least we have three solid albums from them: Battlecry Under a Winter's Sun, Advance and Vanquish, and Fire Up the Blades. They kinda fell off after Jamie Hooper left, but I will forever love them for those three albums.
I was a youngster who had the honor of seeing these guys play and hanging with them in the parking alot at the showcase theater in Corona California. Such a bad ass shows their music was such amazing.
HORNS UP!!!!!! THE BEST THING TO COME OUT OF CANADA!!!!!!!!!! AND YES, OVER HOCKEY. LOVE THIS BAND. WHAT METAL IS ALL ABOUT AND REPRESENTS. THESE ARE MY PEOPLE.
Drumming and singing their work then; smoking outside a van show with cam is 1 of my top 5 reasons to metal. I've promised my mother to sing "Deadly momma" at her funeral. Her request.💪🤘🤘🤘
tbh, this video made me sad lol. It's been quite a while since the end, but omg... still my #1 metal band. One of my best friends got to meet them twice which I'm super envious of (Cam stole his pen too). It's cause of them I started looking into other Canadian metal bands. Being Canadian myself, I never really though of such amazing stuff coming from here but 3 Inches of Blood opened my eyes. My 2nd favorite band now is Unleash the Archers which is very 3 inches of blood-esk and Canadian :p
Glad I saw them live once. It was a Sunday night show at a small club in Jacksonville, I could tell from trying to talk to them between bands that they were frustrated with low turnout and don't blame them. They gave it all on stage though! Its hard for touring bands these days.
The SICKEST band to have ever graced a stage. I saw them many times in the US but my best memories had to have been from the 2005 Roadrunner Road Rage tour with Trivium, Agony, Scene and Still Remains. AS and SR were just mediocre metalcore, and I guess you could say the same about Trivium, but I loved them at the time, however 3 Inches was why i went to see those tours. I saw few Road Rage shows back to back and 3 inches killed it every time in such small venues, it was sick to be right up front and stage dive.
love this band but this is one of those documentaries where there really isn't that much to say...and they say the same thing over and over and over and over. Boring.
