Amazing video as usual. Every time I watch your videos I feel like learning a lot, and I can immediately see the results in DaVinci. My question is: what are the pros and cons of using a Mist filter directly during the shooting, compared to applying the glow effect during the color grading?
Thanks Waqas. For some reason, using GlowFX, I don't see the "alpha masks light sources" checkbox. I've got the paid version of Resolve 18. It just has Shine Threshold and then jumps straight to Shape and spread. Any clue?
My problem consistently with color grading is the Color Space Transform. Is there any sort of reference that says "This camera uses this Input Color Space and Input Gamma"? Because it seems like you are just somehow magically supposed to know. Which is so frustrating. Countless Google searches, and I still can't get a single straight answer as to HOW I'm supposed to know that info about the cameras I use. So I end up just ignoring it, because when I actually set it to what I THINK is the correct setting, it's WAY off and looks horrible. Is there any reference at all?
your old enough to have a son that's getting marrried? That blows my mind. anyways...you're still the color grading goat! so helpful, keep killing it bro!
First of all thank you very much after watching your video I got selected in a DI studio in Chennai in Tamilnadu in India because of your video as a guide for me thank you waqus qazi
What do u think about artificial chromatic abberation on post-production? Like Universe plugin. On the one side it adds some magic, fresh and (god damn no) CINEMATIC look. On the other side CA is a total direct damage to the picture + u buy lenses which were build to prevent any CA and it is stupid to add them on post. Even if the artificial one looks better. But CA became very popular especially among video games
Qazi, I'm your biggest fan :). Started out with RU-vid tuts, now I'm on a 100th something video of your masterclass course and digging deep :). Question, what are your default timeline settings when you do in and out colour transform on a node basis?
MISTER! Well first OMG great idea... Glow is one of the difficult I have, how and when to use it. Second and not less important COMGRATZ... Can't imagine maybe soon you will be a grandad lol...
