When I figured out throwing a good breaking ball was all about hand/wrist position and not actually trying to force the curve by snapping your wrist… it was a night and day difference.

Still remember watching this man in the college World Series. With that battered ucla cap and the javelin while he casually long tossed the entire field pole to pole.

Damn I used to go out of my way to snap my wrist. After I relaxed and did your technique, I immediately noticed a huge difference. Solid advice!

I am a cricket fan and I have never even watched any Baseball match. To be honest this looks pretty amazing how we have the same science working for both Cricket and Baseball. But this seems to be way simple and easier than what we have to do in Cricket. In Cricket, we have a lot of factors working over it and swinging a cricket ball(Curving , what you say is) even if you grip the ball in the correct way and bowl as well, you may not have that much swing if the Pitch is not suitable and the weather is not overcast. And the ball must be a new one so that it can easily tear down the air and make its way through it in the way the seam moves on.

That works for you, but everyone has a different body with different grip strength, finger lengths and widths, arm length, etc.

I had a different grip on the ball (middle finger on the horseshoe) , but I also never tried to rotate the wrist. Just locked it in place and tried to finish with my throwing hand near the opposite hip. The ball just falls out and does what it does. Also threw it with my pointer finger up like he has in his grip. Some say it might telegraph the pitch but when I was young I saw a pic of Shawn Estes using the same finger-up approach and figured if he can do it in the MLB, I can do it at the high school level

It’s how I throw my slurve but it’s a “slip” pitch.

I throw a 60 mph fastball (slow I know). Do I need to be able to throw harder to be able to throw a curve or slider? It's what I was told by a previous coach.

I tried this and ended up creating a wormhole on accident. The ball disappeared about five feet in front of me and hit the ump in the back of the knee less than .1 seconds later. He called it a ball and then the another wormhole appeared and the ball hit him in the throat. Anyways, I have no clue where or when I am, but resources here say that Trev made the HOF after he invented a new pitch called the “Bauer Ball.” I still don’t know what year it is. Please send help, the future is weird.

Post MLB playing career this guy absolutely needs to be a pitching coach and at some point perhaps a head coach if he should have any interest. I've seen too many videos like this that he consistently uploads. Post MLB as a coach or mentor to others has the potential in my layman's opinion to be more promising than his actual active years as a player. ⚾⚾⚾
