@@simgarfuthe hate is based on the color of his skin, that's the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about,if he was white ,he would have been Saint George,
@@salamouedraogo6228Maybe you always think of skin colour first that's your problem but most football fans do definitely not. Despite his skin colour he is the player who most people call the greatest of all time. Nobody cares about his skin colour. But he he constantly lied about how many goals he scored. second if we talk about talent and skills Maradona was way better also Johan Cruyff was better than Pele. Maradona played in the mid 80s and early 90s in the Serie A in Italy and La Liga in Spain he played in a different time period football evolved over time also nobody talks about that most football players in Pele time period as a professional player were not even able to live just from their football income and most had a real job by the side to pay rent which of course means he really had not that much competition and he could focus completely on football. Also was football not that popular backthen than today which of course means less compition backthen we of course could also add the facts like todays salary, football academies much more tactics, physical demands, physiotherapist, to follow a certain diets, health etc.
@@livio6.187 you cry as much but we all know that a lot of people are infected with that virus called racism, something even genetists run from,if Pele was a pale skinned Brazilian,he would have been Saint Paul, let's stop blindfolded people with brains to think for themselves, you can think the way you want, but it's evident that Black players are treated in different ways, mbape is example, when he does what other do,he is treated like a child and criminal, but when my beloved brother Ronaldo does the same ,he is celebrated
Yah, the first offside rule didn't even allowed players to pass in front then other rules came, offside rules back then were way complicated than nowadays
@@stanleyjackson6087 but he didn’t invent them , Garincha who was far more influential than Pele in winning 62 WC for Brazil , invented the Garrincha feint , Revilino invented the Elastico , it’s complete nonsense that Pele invented the tricks we see today .
@@michaelmullins8866 Pele did it all you clown there is no player like Pele. Garrincha was one legged and lost the ball more times than he had it. Pele did it all and did it when he was a kid, they don't have some of his greatest feats they couldn't record it most of his great moves were never recorded. Pele turned from being a ginga player to a team player. Pele had everything speed dribbling all round vision and using both feet. He was a savant he did it all not just be a dribbler like Garrincha lol
He was 17 years old when he won his first WC, and only 29 years old when he won the third in Mexico 1970. He retired from the National Team playing against Yugoslavia in July 1971. And he played in a time when strikers like him were not protected by arbiters the way we can see the last two decades. And BTW he played when national teams and football clubs played less games than today. His numbers today would be even better. Respect.
This isn’t strictly true for Pele, he was such an attraction that Santos played many friendlies/exhibition/European tours, often 20-30 a season. That’s how Pele gets to 1000 goals. Because they count the 400 friendly/exhibition games he played, including the 130 friendly games they describe in the video (some of these were against actual farmers in Europe). Not to detract from his brilliance, but he played plenty of
He is sure a great defender. If you really are a versatile player you know to dribble is more easy than defend. People come to watch the dribbler who takes advantage of many role the defenders don't have. Do little mistake close to the box and it's a penalty. For me He is great and to be dribbled by the best ever is not humiliation.
Stop disrespecting PELE, he was the first world Superstar and made football sport more interesting to watching, all these skills and tricks most of this generations doing now,PELE DID IT in his 20s , THE BLACKSTONES
1. The defender that the creator of this short claimed to be Beckenbauer was not Beckenbauer 2. Just because he scored tons of goals against European teams that were way worse than today's teams doesn't make him good. 3. He wasn't a playmaker like Messi for example. Scoring goals isn't everything.
Another thing people don’t understand is the technology. During Pele’s time the shoe quality was just garbage next to modern boots making it harder to do everything. Same with the leather footballs themselves. He also had to play in plain cotton shirts that aren’t 1/10 as comfortable and breathable and the modern shirts making it harder to run and be agile.
Greatest player in history? What a joke haha Just because he's scoring a lot of goals doesn't mean he's the goat. Just like Penaldo fans and Pessi fans say.
Dude was tough, too talented, Pelé, Ayrton Senna and Gustavo Kuerten, we brazilians will never have three men so dominating at their sports. I didn't watch Pelé playing but he is the goat, period.
@@palermothegoalgod-wd2wp piece of cake Bro. My grandfather told me he was the Goat, my father told me the same, and watching movies, documentaries, and when I was 10 years I watched in Milan-ITA Pelé with 50 years old playing with professionals in a friendly game, and I can tell you that Pelé was different like his adversaries used to describe him. Goat, period.
@@tapiwachida8199 Yes when u say one of the greatest, if not the greatest defender to ever step foot on a pitch is kind of overrated then ur opinion is invalid kid, makes u look like an idiot too.

He's just too great to believe! That's why do many people doubt his talent. On the matter of him not playing in europe. South American clubs won the world club cup more than European sides up to the early nineties. The South American teams were stronger than European lesgues. Colo colo of chile, river plate of Argentina, penoral of Uruguay, santos ,flamingo, sao paulo all of brazil to name a few. Remember santos demolished European heavy weights milan and benfica to win the workd clup two years straight. European clubs only got stronger when south American and the African players started going there. Check it out ig you dont believe me.
In one of those friendly tours that Santos made Olympiacos won 2-1. Our anthem to this day has a lyric that goes, roughly translated "You (Olympiacos) are still remembered, by Santos and Pele". He is the only player named in the entire anthem
@@UnkindledIncandescent Thats just a lie lol Pele was claiming he had scored over 1000 goals before Messi and Ronaldo were even born. Look up Pele 1000th goal video and see how the commentators and everybody was celebrating, they knew it was his 1000th goal.
It is because his existence and career, denies what some fans desperately want: that either Messi or C. Ronaldo are declared the GOAT. C. Ronaldo is definitely nowhere near GOAT status, a great top 10 player though, Messi would certainly have a claim for GOAT, if Pelé didn't exist. So the hate, is mostly try to diminish Pelé's accomplishments, era and rivals to elevate their own favorite players. the same happens in Basketball, Lebron James fans have desperately tried (unsuccessfully) to diminish Michael Jordan and his era, with the only desire to elevate Lebron as GOAT, when he shouldn't even be in the conversation (Lebron is at best top 10 player).
Remember this, he was getting called "monkey " and other racist chants when he started as a 16 year old in Brazil! The most notable is when in a Libertadores Cup match in Argentina the hole stadium was reciting racist chants and when he turned the game around by scoring 3 goals they applauded him at 20 years old. Look at what he endured and still conquered. PELE IS KING.
Pele won his first world cup on European soil and scored two goals in the WC final agaist the hosts, Sweden. Brazil led by Pele at 17 was the only non European country in history to win the WC on European soil! Pele is the only player to have won the first three WC titles for Brazil. Pele is the only player in history to have won THREE WC titles and to cap it by retiring from international foottball before his 30th birthday!

Pele is the only player in the history of the game to have won three world cup titles. He didn't have to play for a European club to prove that he was the GOAT. He was also the youngest player, at 17, to win the first WC title for Brazil (scoring two goals in the final game) and on European soil! After he won three WC titles he retired from international football at the age of 29 (in his prime!). Between his first and second WC titles, 1958 and 1962 he won two world titles with his Brazilian club of Santos F.C. not once but twice beating the. best opposition Europe could offer on European turfs by scoring hat tricks!
