3 Classic Locomotives Including The Switcher Take The Rock Train To The Quarry At The End Of The Line. This train chase shows both sides of the train. This is a short line railroad in Ohio. The Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET leases 69 route miles of track from Norfolk Southern Railroad. This is the hilly and curvy Peavine Line. I chased the train and got it at some railroad crossings from Macon, Ohio to Peebles, Ohio. I got both sides of the train in this video. The hopper cars are for loading rock at the Hanson Quarry and the gondola cars are for loading raw railroad ties at McCoy Lumber in Peebles, Ohio.
The video starts in Winchester, Ohio next to the switch for the grain elevator. We see the train pass by here eastbound.
The next stop is Seaman, Ohio. The train is seen passing the Seaman Lifesquad building. Then we go to Lawshe to watch it pass the storage siding and get a close look at the rusty rail.
After that we go to Peebles to watch the train pass the McCoy Lumber Company spur. The train will switch this siding on the return trip in order to access the switch properly. I actually filmed the train before it got to Winchester and for those who are still watching you can see the first stops that I made. I stopped at the crossing just west of Macon first at the crossing with the new railroad crossing gates. The crossing used to only have flashing lights. After that stop I went to downtown Macon to film the train crossing the highway railroad crossing. You can see the old Norfolk & Western Railway color position lights. They were turned off years ago.
