Most people have no clue how difficult Judo or martial arts are in general. When I was in Japan I trained with a 68 year old man who was extremely small (a coral belt). He used textbook Judo and would launch me across the room with the energy I put into the training session. He was super nice too, the language barrier made it extremely difficult to learn though.

I'm a former Jiu jitsuka - which is more or less Judo + Karate = Jiu jitsu You learn to fall the right way, and not sustain damadge. In my time, i could be thrown around for an hour or two without any problem. The most difficult thing was actually getting back up again, since you tend to loose your stamina 😅
@dadthelad
@dadthelad 2 года назад
@@PpAirO5 I got taught how to break fall from a stuntman. Those guys sure as shit know how to do it correctly! Sometimes they have to leap, or get yanked head high up in the air and slam onto their backs on hard ground without mats. Hard core shit. He did confess that it hurts like hell, so it's not his favourite part of the job, but pays well. Fascinating lessons when he taught me how to do it, and every Judo school could do well to get one of these guys in for a seminar on a regular basis.
