@@iriscollins7583 Well it’s a long story but we are in New Mexico and my daughter chose Denver bc of the outstanding work of one doctor there which an advocate in New York said was outstanding. Finally the doctor accepted the out of state insurance but the hospital declined it. So now the appointments are getting set up for Albuquerque so there should be no problem. My grand daughter is profoundly deaf, 12 yrs. old, didn’t do well at the school for the deaf so just went one year. She reads lips, has her hearing aides and has a 4.0 average. She can’t wait to get her implants.

Oh Janice, poor girl! Us insurance makes me angry! Here in the uk the hearing experts would have just referred her to the next stage people who find out if she’d be suitable for the implant then she’d get an appointment to for for a pre med appointment. Just to check blood pressure , pulse etc. Talk about the procedure then like magic she’d be sent an appointment. All the time she’s waiting is vital time…I don’t need to tell you that of course 💜 good luck, I hope she’s approved soon x

Ps, she’s beautiful isn’t she, it makes me want to reach into the screen for a cuddle and play with her…& her big sister, she sat and waited so well for her age x

Nice, but it's at the expense of the tax payers. I'm sure there are expenses that could be cut to free up money for things like this.

I believe she was 3 months old when she had the cochlear implant surgery but when they did the activation ( which we are seeing in this video) she is much older ❤️
