You say that cause you cant army build and I can even assume you are not even a part of any army building union or discord group. Smallest clone army is a squad made up of 9 clones of the same kind plus a sergeant or an officer which means white phase 2 army cant be army built when we dont have proper leadership thus no army builders are actually buying this. What you are doing is stacking figures aimlessly on a baseplate and larp as an army builder.

I honestly think this set would be MORE hyped if the community wasn’t so jaded by the helmet holes. The figures are great, but a lot of people are using a lot of energy to complain about that one aspect.
I actually don't mind the helmet holes. I'm just excited to get affordable clone troopers and new super battle droids. (Instead of paying a double or triple digit number for 9-11 pieces of tiny plastic designed like cody, rex, or any trooper.)

I don't personally think it's overhyped. It's GREAT for just regular army building, and as someone who has the Coruscant Guard Gunship, it's very good for filling it out with shock troopers. Even if you only buy one, it's honestly a great set IMO. The only issue is the price, but I've seen some places reduce its price already.
I like how they included a shock trooper that otherwise could only be acquired through purchasing a mid $140 set. I believe the designer said something along the lines of wanting to make the shock trooper an army builder, since the 2014 one was exclusively stuck in a $50 set
It's a shame that the coruscant guard gunship is close to being 1.5x more expensive than it should be IMO, taking into account the piece count, size, minifigure quantity and lack of accessories. A lot of people complain about it not being a regular republic gunship but I love that they made something different this time. It would be a great first gunship for me if it wasn't for the absolutely ridiculous pricetag. (Even despite Fox being pink XDD)

The way I see it is, 1: If you were gonna add helmet holes, why wouldn't you give accessories. 2: If you aren't gonna give accesories, then why give them helmet holes..
I see more people hating on people's opinion than actual people "hating" on the set, most of what I see are constructive criticisms but hey I guess it's easier to say it's just "hate"☺
We get 9 total figures for 30 USD. Idk what could possibly be the problem with that when the set is very clearly designed to offer a way to mass figures.
Problem is that people only want and need clones or only want and need droids. There is a really small number of people that want both. This is especially hurtfull for droid army builders that are waiting for a battle pack since 2008. There is also no proper leadership for the phase 2 clones which mean you cant even make the smallest accurate to the canon army of 10 so no one is happy except people that will only get 1 set and kids that think army building is aimlessly stacking figures on baseplates.
@bokatan88 There actually is proper leadership for the clones. The shock troopers of the Coruscant Guard are completely uniform to the point that (with only a couple exceptions like Fox and Thorn) every single shock trooper private, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and most of the commanders look completely identical with no distinguishing details or accessories. A couple examples of this are Commander Thire and Captain Kagi looking like regular shock troopers in ROTS. It's pretty similar with the plain white troopers except in that case it's usually only the privates, sergeants, lieutenants, and sometimes the captains that keep plain armor, usually captains and above add accessories or markings to their armor.
This set is not even 25 usd in Poland its not overhyped, it's UNDERAPRECIATED for how insane it is like 3 of these and you have over a full squad of clones and droids and there are some insane alt builds for this aswell
As an adult, the comparison to the previous version/ accessories is easy to think negatively but as the parent of a generation that missed 2009-2013, the current offerings will be their generation’s “golden age.” It’s the best THEY’ve ever seen
Correct, but I think the issue he was trying to address here is that its not LEGOS best, and we all deserve legos best no matter what era we started collecting.
It is well worth the price and hype. Despite the lack of accessories, you get so many extras with other packs that it works itself out. The clone builds are great for piece sourcing for building your own republic builds. The Separatist builds are both phenomenal, the stap being a good filler for mocs. The tri droid might seem useless, but for anyone who has ever looked at Separatist armies, they are comprised of a lot of carbon copied droids. A tri droid being available for army building gives you the abilty to add droids that are bigger than battle droids and super battle droids, but aren't as expensive homing spider droids and the like, all being second hand market sales now that are super expensive
i think a super underrated aspect of this battle pack is the way that it's packaged, because it's such a social thing. you could buy kids a few of these and have a lego building party, where everyone works on different parts of the set and then have a big battle once everyone's done. i even built this set with a friend and it was a blast !!
I know uow they shouldve done it. There should have been 2 of each clone. 2 shock, 2 plain. One of each type would have helmet warts, and the other of each wouldnt. That way they could satisfy both types of people
I think it should have came with another 2 Battle Droids. Another regular one and a Commander. Also, I think making one of the 3 phase 2 clones have yellow markings would have been a great way to both better homage that og Battle pack while adding a bit more variety to the set.
To be honest i disagree, this set gives you the good guy vs. bad guy evenly at least in terms of mini figs but also gives you 2 speeders and an armor unit for the droids. There is not a set like it to this degree and you get it for $30 usd at least in the US. Definitely an army builder both both factions. Its so far is the greatest Battle pack of all time. Helmet holes are not a big deal in the long run, we will get a different version down the line.
The great thing too is that the P2 body is the same as the P1s so if you bought a heap of the P1 clone station packs you can nab some P2 helmets from bricklink and interchange them at whim
They are in the wrong spot anyway and ruins the sleekness. I also can’t get over the huge downgrade from the 2014 style. The shock trooper looks fine since it has red cheeks, but the laughable grey shading in the cheeks and thickly marked edges make it look like a child’s rendition of it alongside the animated phase one clones from back in the day.
I haaaaate to be that guy buuutt… the only reason I haven’t bought army builder amounts of this set is because of those helmet holes. Sucks because I really love the super battle droids too.
The 8098 Turbo Tank was my favorite set in my collection before I had to donate my entire collection when my family moved when I was younger. I'm really hoping I can snag that one for a good price in the Whatnot stream, college sure ain't cheap, lol
The helmet holes are strange but not what bother me. The clones helmet visor does. I know they base it off the clone wars tv show but I just love the 2013 look of the phase 2 helmets. It fits the helmet and just looks so much better.
Just got 8 for the price of 6. Gonna get a few pieces to make hachiroku24's Octapura droid. Definitly worth it and not overhyped since it's the best battle pack ever.
I gotta disagree with ya, I think the lack of accessories makes this the perfect battle pack to army build, we buy the named captains in other sets and gibe them their own squads of regular clones, otherwise every clone would have commander pouldron when should be 1.
If they just used p2 helmets with no holes this issue wouldnt exist, like yes i dont want every clone to be a commander but if they are cheap and refuse to not use the helmet hole mold atleast include accessories to fill them
I still have a few grey visors from my mando battle pack, and I recently bought capt Rex’s y wing so I have a lot of antennas and visors now all in grey
Me personally, I like the Imperial battlepacks more just because of the amazing stormtrooper design they did back then. Sets 75165 and 75134 were just peak for the Imperials, the design the builds and the figures were all amazing. However, I do also like to army build clones and cosider the 212th battlepack and the set 8014 absolute bangers due to the ROTS design and obviously the 8014 has everything to build an actual army. IMO 75372 is the best battle pack to army build for people who love the clone wars, even tho u don't get any accessories for ur clones, while they do have the awful helmet holes. I haven't bought any SW set since the release of ATTE, after which i was so disappointed with the new 212th design, I just lost faith in LEGO first they ruin the perfect stormtrooper helmet, and then they add this stupid helmet hole which makes the helmet look like its a cube and then proced to not use this opportunity for the addition of clone accessories.
I was a little mad about the helmet holes when they first made the change too, but after some time, I really could not care less lol. The difference is actually so minimal and if you looking at them from more than 3cm away you can’t even tell. I would prefer them without the holes are a better placement for sure but it really isn’t worth screaming about. I think the “new” stormtrooper helmets are far more egregious and less people complain about those. They actually look like bobble heads now and are even less functional than the original
as someone who hates shiny p2s I would much rather a 212th battle pack or the 501st specialists one but I do appreciate that this battle pack gives a good number of droids and clones together for a good price
honestly biggest issue i see is that why would you army build if there is no real battle to go with it? like there is not enough cohesive clone wars stuff to fascilitate the clones. Where are the droid defences? the clone wars based battle sets? if they decided to make more rots sets or some clone wars sets and actively sold it with a storyline in the marketing it wouldve sold better
It would be awesome if they revisited the clone wars figures and came out with more clones , like named clones and new battlepacks they recently didn’t cover . Hopefully with the new tv show coming out about clones(hopefully it’s true) , they will do it !

I get your point on what's included in the box. I certainly don't have a large Lego SW collection, but I do have a decent amount of visors, antenna / range finders, binoculars since you always get a whole pack of those even if you are only using 1 in the particular set. I don't have one of these yet, but I certainly want to get a couple as at least in my opinion that is a great price for the amount of figs.
I'm fine with the tridroid. what we need next is a battle pack with a drooideka or a crab droid. Let's say a ATRT, 3 clones a Crab droid a drooideka 2 b1 droids and a b2

I don't think the fact that it isn't sold out means anything. It could mean that LEGO knew demand was going to remain high for a long time and has continually kept printing it which is a good thing so that RU-vidrs with insane wallets can't create scarcity for those who have to scrimp and save to get one or two of them. It could also mean that people in general aren't feeling the pressure to get more than one of them and that is also a good thing. They aren't the cheapest set and while you get a lot of figures 30 dollars is still a lot for such small builds. People have become a lot more frugal in the last few years because of the rise in prices for things across the board. I don't think any of it really comes down to the set itself being of poor quality or lack of interest. It also doesn't help that many RU-vidrs have criticized nearly all of the minifigures in nearly all of the clone sets likely creating apprehension about picking any of these up driving down sales in the hopes that LEGO will change their printing practices and the RU-vidrs all the while will take advantage of that lack of scarcity to just buy more. I've seen many other RU-vidrs talk about how bad these figures are and have boxes and boxes of them stored away to either rip to sell the figures or just resell later when it retires. That entire practice is disgusting in all honesty. There are hardly any honest reviews or opinions anymore because it's all done in the best interest in their bank accounts. They talk something down so that they can pick more up.
It is so stupid that Lego abandons a nicer looking helmet mould for one that permits accessories… and then DOESNT include accessories in sets. Both the 501st and 332nd battle packs had some sort of accessory, and they were much cheaper than this one. Huge missed opportunity, but Lego specialises in those by now. Edit: I don’t understand your apathy toward the Tri-droid and obsession with the STAP. It’s a pretty mid STAP design
Every store I’ve been to whether it’s Walmart, Target, heck even the Lego store they have 10+ sitting on the shelves. I think at Walmart a week or two ago I saw easily 20+ and some of them were there the last few times I was there.
The helmet holes don't bother me personally but I understand the hate behind it. But if you're gonna put them in every helmet then give people accessories to utilize them. The thing that bothers me about the current clone figures is the printing quality issues. The closes we had in like 2021 and before we're fantastic and nearly perfect. The current ones are almost laughably bad sometimes and it's killing my desire to buy more than one of any set that has them.
Not overhyped, just dont like helmet holes so i didnt buy as many becuase i had to spend some of my money on custom phase 2 grunt helmets with no holes.
I actually really enjoy the set! I bought a bunch of clone army customs RP2 helmets plain clone trooper and RP2 helmets shock troopers! Makes the set even better
Yeah the main issue despite the helmet holes are the lack of accessories. The only time we’ll get accessories is if the character requires a sun visor / range finder
Love the set, agree on accessories and i think lego has been going down in quality mostly in that regard even if they have been actually getting better in some areas. Hell a poly bag of fabric accessories for things like this would at least be cool if they didn't include it here(which it should be).
My guy doesn't seem to know its macro binoculars not micro. Micro would mean the clones are strapping microscopes to their helmets instead of telescopes
