Great ideas. My wife used to call it 'being cheap' but after fixing most of her broken stuff and saving a lot of money she now sees it as 'resourceful' 😉The bodkin cleaner reminds me of the brass wool tip cleaner that I use to keep my soldering iron tip clean and shiny during work on my guitar electronics. Never thought of using it on my bodkin though, so thank you for that. Your custom jig rack is a swell multi-use solution for an aggravating problem on the bench. I will be building mine tomorrow. Thank you for sharing. I've been tying since 1969 myself and I went through the "Make it myself," period as well. That sponge is something I still use today because it is sort of gross to see guys using Saliva to moisten their flies. Nobody has to worry about my DNA on their flies and what kind of chemicals would I be tasting? Thank you for caring and sharing and Hello from Western Canada! 🇨🇦

Large pill bottles also work well to hold the copper mesh cleaner for bodkins & small plastic hook boxes serve as small containers for water for wet sponges. That adjustable dryer rack is a nifty idea.

That sponge/water/container trick wasn't created by Kelly. A guy was watching Kelly's videos and seeing him drag feathers through his mouth to wet them, as I did until I watched that video. The watcher was worried Kelly was going to get sick from the chemicals on the feathers, so he sent Kelly that container. Kelly didn't claim it as his idea, but he did put it to use. A great idea it is too.... Thanks for your videos.
