We just went thru Beryl. There was no gasoline or propane to be had, anywhere. Nobody had power. These generator manufacturers must make the move to natural gas if they want to be competitive.
I own a duromax Dual fuel (propane &gasoline) but bought an adapter for natural gas and connected it to my generator. They are around $100. I was able to run it off my homes natural gas.
@dirtrider383 I have never lived anywhere that didn't have ng, but have learned lately that 40% of the US doesn't have it. That plus the regulations required to add tri fuel explains the slow adoption rate by mfgrs.
Where's your NG, your tri-fuel capability? Where's your fuel injection? Where's your hybrid smart generator technology that has a small whole house battery onboard. 4low load engine off operations? All of this technology has long existed. I'm disappointed in your 2024 lineup. I expected more advanced, more efficient products.
just bought a DuroMax XP13000HXT, if it ever gets here wasnt happy with the cost because a DuroMax XP10000HX is all i wanted but I needed NG so i paid 2x the cost :(
I'm looking at possibly XP11000ih. For remote start to work the on/off switch must be on, correct? My question is can the switch be on (with battery tender pluged in) for say 3 months and not affect internal electronics and not slowly battery?
I have a 2022 xp9000ih. It only ran 48 hrs during Beryl on propane. Bullshit on the warranty service centers. After Beryl here in Houston. Norther Tools, which was one of their active service centers. 6 weeks behind on warranty service. Went on equipment blog on internet found where these models would blow a main fuse that knocks out the main panel. Duromax even got in the blog and answered the gentlemans questiin about the failure if the unit because of the design. They sent him a new unit. I do not know if the problem was fixed with his unit. Found a mom pop service that took Duromax service warranty as well. They are 4 wks behind on their service. Starting of August, ramping up on hurricane season. Lucky according to the service center if it might be ready last of August first if September. hope we don't have another hurricane. Dam company should send me a new unit that is not design flawed.
Wjere can I find the blog? I have the 9000IH and it won't stay running due to the CO sensor. They are saying it's an extra sensitive sensor, but I beg to differ. I think it was a poor design to put the sensor on the same side as the exhaust right next to it. They sent a replacement sensor, but it was the wrong one and the correct one is out of stock. I'd much rather a refund or a replacement of the upgraded model with the exhaust on the back.
Why are they not making those larger ones, like the 9500 tri-fuel? Propane runs out pretty fast on those. I want to hook up natural gas. Yeah can likely spend another $200 on overpriced natural gas conversion kit for a hose and overpriced regulator. But they should just include it. Common manufactures.....
@@aholmes6612 pretty sure ng is alot cheeper when i looked at propane it was $3.00 a gallon didnt have $2,400 to buy a tank and then the cost to fill it
What’s the logic with not making the 11,000 W one and even 12,000? 50 A times 240 V is a great home back up size takes full advantage of the 50 amp plug.
Very interesting. I just looked at the Duro-Max site. The present XP inverter generators have 3 year warranty and max engine speed of 3400 rpm. The fellow said the new machines would be 4000 rpm max and 5 yr warranty. I do wonder how the increase in speed will impact long term engine wear. The existing machines have a good discount so it looks like they are trying to clear inventory before the new machines arrive. Thanks for the video. Dave.
I have a bit of a ticklish suggestion but if you are not doing the bear CGI filter anymore, would it be awkward if you wore a bear furry costume and walked around the trade shows looking like the bear? Let me know what you think
Is the autofuel sensing system only on the one unit or has it been incorporated in the entire lineup? If the unit switches fuel sources, is there an idiot light to tell you what fuel it's running on?
@@aholmes6612 So, the fuel selector switch has a step motor to manually move the switch when it automatically switches over, is that correct? Also, having a bunch of MOSFETS or JFETS is going to generate a significant amount of heat; a killer for electronics. Is the inverter section, or the entire unit equipped with a cooling fan, in addition to the rotor fan?
@@Digidoc316 not sure of how it actually works, but if running gas if you open propane valve and turn the switch to LP it switches over and vice versa running propane switch to gas...generator keeps running, just shut off propane valve. No need to shut off the unit and restart.
