I can usually glean something from Etteilla’s input but this one was exceptionally arcane. Anyway, I’m glad this project won’t end with the tarot but will continue with a series on the tree of life. I’m excited!

Half way through reading The Mystical Qabalah right now. It has been wonderful to learn more about the connection of the tarot cards with the tree of life through this channel. Im very excited that you are planning to make videos exploring the tree of life next. Not going to lie this is my second attempt at reading Fortune’s book. I started it a year ago and never finished. The material is a bit overwhelming so I had to start all over about a month ago. But I made it through The Tree of Life by Israel Regardie, so there’s hope for me. Definitely still on 8 of pentacles status when it comes to hermetic esotericism but with hard work maybe someday I will make it to 3 of pentacles master. 😅
That's crazy, I'm just on my second attempt too! My introduction to Qabalah came through Modern Magick by Donald Micheal Kraig but the first full book I read on the Tree was A Garden of Pomegranates by Israel Regardie & I really struggled with that one! Next I read The Chicken Qabalah by Lon Milo DuQuette & that was like a breath of fresh air!! I'm finding Mystical Qabalah much easier this time, although I'm only about a hundred pages in. I'm really looking forward to doing a series on the Tree of Life but I think I need a little longer to study it first so I'll probably do the Zodiac after the final Tarot card in the new year ☆
I'm jobhunting at the moment so I'm always happy to see this card pop up... sadly there are a lot of swords around usually as well, especially the seven 😬 and the four... oh well. Cheers for another fascinating dive into the pentacles, I'm sure when you're done with these you're about ready to have a bit of a break!
It’s so cool that you uploaded this today because this morning I was pondering the significance of all the black on the card. The only others with that much black on them seem to be quite foreboding. Perhaps the black being the negative space which allows the shape of the crafted pentacles to be seen helps to symbolize the unconscious forces being used cooperatively with the consciousness to create? Even if such forces are foreboding in nature? This would help tie it in with its correspondence to Binah nicely as she is the supernal mother, ie. the form giver (who is not necessarily known for her pleasantness) I’m just throwing things around here to open to a discussion.
That's a really good point, I hadn't noticed all the black on the card before. I think you're right, it does seem to be there to show the Pentacles in this case 🃏⛤
There's an aspect of the Three of Pentacles that I'm surprised you didn't touch on here. The Three of Pentacles is also associated with teamwork. Even great masters need help, especially if it's a big project. On the face of the card, you even see three people. You have the man holding the plans for the carving, showing it to the skilled sculptor to show what needs to be done. The skilled sculptor doing the actual work. Then the Friar/Monk overlooking the project, ensuring everything is going to plan and that the work is good. All three working together as a team. Speaking of "teamwork", I always think of Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar" when the Three and Eight of Pentacles pop up in a reading.
There are more meanings for the cards than pebbles on the beach so I couldn't hope to include all of them but I can see that reading & it works well 🙂⛤

Oh aren't these energies hilarious.....here we are survivors of the swords....pulling ourselves up from the gutter of the tarot with ripped up clothes ....to find the pentacles are metaphorical coin....the gold and silver of alchemical transmutation ....
