Found your channel because I was sent that blend on landscape material (I complain about YT tutorial always skipping that! So a friend sent that video to me, and it made me so happy :D ) But then I started looking at the rest of your videos. Your channel is fantastic and really should be getting way more subs and viewer, amazing work. (Also i bought your book)

Yeah great question@@FireballVFX . You can pick and choose which type you want to use and they work seamlessly together. I would stick to Lumen on everything starting out because you will get good results right away. Raytraced shadows or reflections give a little higher quality but need more fiddling to work right, so I tend to use those later on in the process. But like I said they work interchangeably so sometimes you need to pick and choose the right type for the right render.
