You make the best tutorials and Unreal content on YT, hands down. Thanks for taking the time to do what you do.

Found your channel because I was sent that blend on landscape material (I complain about YT tutorial always skipping that! So a friend sent that video to me, and it made me so happy :D ) But then I started looking at the rest of your videos. Your channel is fantastic and really should be getting way more subs and viewer, amazing work. (Also i bought your book)

Hey Aziel, I like your tuts, well organizes well put together. Great job. By the way, do you use Ray Tracing or Lumen?
@azielarts

Thanks so much!!! For my own projects, I tend to use Lumen GI and reflations, and Raytraced shadows

@@azielarts i am learning UE, can Raytrace be only used for shadows but Lumen for other, are both complimenting each other without tech issues?

Yeah great question@@FireballVFX . You can pick and choose which type you want to use and they work seamlessly together. I would stick to Lumen on everything starting out because you will get good results right away. Raytraced shadows or reflections give a little higher quality but need more fiddling to work right, so I tend to use those later on in the process. But like I said they work interchangeably so sometimes you need to pick and choose the right type for the right render.
