In this lesson we'll take a look at 3 phase transformers, electrical devices used to step up, step down, isolate, change the electrical configuration, and phase shift 3 phase AC voltage. Additionally, we'll learn to interpret standard 3 phase AC transformer naming conventions and take a look at simplified connection diagrams, displacement diagrams, and examine common Y, delta, and Z configurations. Good series. I have always been annoyed that all the motors and transformers I have ever looked at have never had the dots marked.

My personal annoyance is the seemingly random orientation of displacement diagrams. Some manufacturers orient 0 straight up (as presented in this lecture series). Some manufacturers lay them on their side ... but not like a phasor diagram with 0 on the right hand side! They lay them so the delta is tipped so the reference voltage to virtual neutral dangles off the left hand side! This being said you should be able to compare the HV and LV displacement diagrams regardless of chosen orientation to determine the resultant leading or lagging phase shift.
