This is a review of a Vertical axis wind turbine model Three-phase permanent magnet generator DIY display of windmill toy night lights.
I recommend it to be used as a toy only. It needs a lot of wind to generate any useful power.
It is a nice gadget to be on display only without NO intent to use for generating electricity.
I do NOT recommend it as a portable charger because you need a very strong wind. It needs to be secure on the base as the wind will tip it over.
Most of the things I used in this review were bought from Aliexpress.

I wish I had seen this video before I ordered mine. I am using a factory made bridge rectifier, and the most I can get from it is 4 volts. I does not turn in the wind at all. The blades are rubbish. I am considering donating it to a school for use in lessons, thats all it is really good for. It's basically a £12.99 science kit, marketed as a wind turbine.

Well yeah, the generator you're using will require about 1200 rpm for any decent generation. That's why wind turbines have a gear step up system to convert the low rpm to high rpm. For a direct drive generator for low rpms, I think you will probably need a custom built generator with a lot of wire turnings to compensate for the low rpms

The green led can't turn on because the red ones act as regulators and short out the green led. Take out the red leds. Turn the bridge rectifier into a "bridge doubler" for more voltage.

Prestando a atenção nos ventos notei que há bolsões de ventos no ar. Áreas com vento com efeitos visíveis em relação ao que se movimenta na volta que muitas vezes não girava as pás do gerador eólico. Achei interessante o que fiquei observando. Parabéns por suas experiências

The construction of the rotor blades is poor, so there is practically no effect when the wind blows. I made a similar mistake once using aspirin rolls. The effect was similar.

I was ready to spend the forty odd bucks on this, - but see the need to order 3 small transformers just to try.... perhaps it's better just to give it to the casino! ...might get laid in the process... - might build a bigger one of those, - if it works then That could get me Married (ffs).... loool
