A 3 point saddle is a common bend electricians will use to get over round object the traditional way to do a 3 point is good but sometimes a push through method is better for the application.
Step 1:
get your correct measurements and marks
Step 2:
First bend is on the star ⭐️ bend according to what degree bend you chose.
Watch out for dog legs
For mine it was a 22.5 degrees
Step 3:
Once you’ve made your first bend make push it through the bender and rotate 180 degrees.
Your next bend is on the Notch 🔺
And this is your center bend for the saddle so for me it was 45 degrees
Step 4:
Once you’ve made your second bend push it through and rotate 180 degrees again.
Watch out for doglegs still. Take your time. Get it right.
Now this last bend will be done on the arrow ⬆️
Mine called for a 22.5
Step 5: check and make sure it sits flush to the surface it will be installed on and check for doglegs.
Recap:
Push through method = star / notch / arrow
22.5 / 45 / 22.5
⭐️ / 🔺 / ⬆️
Note that’d what the center bend of the saddle is the other two are just half of that so for example:
If your center bend is 30 degrees then your other two bends would be 15 degrees and it would look like: 15 / 30 / 15
