Those are some really good ideas. Making a custom promotion and having a mix of legends and original CAWs makes it interesting because we can actually create original rivalries instead of being limited to established superstars
Another thing i like to do with custom matches, is create backstage brawl or even in ring and make it a finisher match. I start it with a finisher. Its like a quick scuffle/cutscene and good way to getting your rivalries on screen without having a match every week.
Your first one is great thanks for sharing those. And to extend that point, alternate attires/gimmicks are cool too. I saw an ECW universe mode on RU-vid where the champion was Seth Rollins and he dressed up like Raven.
My custom promo is WCW - Womens Championship Wresting. I have custom arenas for the weekly and house shows. The PLE shows are sponsored by the territorial umbrella organisation WWE (basically the same as the old NWA).
@@DemarioMeltonif it’s a caw of an actual person like a CM Punk or something, I do try and find one with a render. If it’s not then I just use what the creator provided!
I basically created a Forbidden door type of Universe mode, where you got superstars from AEW, NJPW, Stardom, TJPW, Impact and even Marigold, plus fantasy caws from famous ips, like DBZ, FF7 and 10 or even Yakuza. My promotion is similar to NJPW and Stardom, an only male show and an only female show and since I use the all roster, I create minor shows to give some superstars time to shine. As belts, I've the main eventer ones, the world titles, a midcarder one and the undercards/rookies, works similar to the NXT ones, plus the tag division. This applies to both shows. My divisions work similar to how European Soccer leagues work, win and loses matter, the rankings affect the promotion or relegation of a superstar by the end of each season, first weekly show after Wrestlemania. And similar to UFC and One Championship, rankings and divisions affect the rivalries and also titles shots.
@@CodeRed41010 To combine the best of both worlds UFC/One Championship and also mantain the Pro-Wrestling identity, my main PLEs, they are like the numbered UFC PLEs, where the titles shots tend to occur, while minor PLEs are mainly focused on rivalries between superstars or tags of the same division, either #1 vs #2 to determine the next contender or superstars or tags near each other in the rankings, where the winner, goes up in the rankings and the loser goes down. Giving more weight to the importance of win/loses, unlike normal Pro-Wrestling. You got example the last rivalry of Riddle in WWE, he beat Seth, but gain nothing and only end up, leaving WWE, while the loser Seth became USA champ and later on World WWE champ. And the belts are used as macguffins, they lose their weight, prestige and importance. I want my titles to have the UFC, One Championship and IWGP weight, to have and hold them, it means your the best, not the most popular or merch profitable.
Your first point is basically what i always loved spending hours doing in these games and the only way i use universe mode lol, back when i got 2k18 (my first wwe game) all i would do is spend hours and hours making my own unique wrestlers and shows and then putting it all in universe mode and essentially building my own little custom promotion, i have like 100+ hours on that game and most of it was spending time in customization menus, i honestly feel like the customization in the 2k games is pretty slept on, its always my favorite part of these games and i get excited seeing new little additions in each game like custom signs, titantrons and custom mitb etc, nowadays you can really let your creativity run wild! Instead of just relying on the real life talent
I know this is an older video, but first time viewer and I have to say, as a kid I could never climb over the cage in the SvR, had to go through the door or pin lol.
