He's comparing a Ford to a truck. That ends the conversation. I'd rather carry a rifle than a 1911. Interested in the 1911 compact that holds 2 rounds.
He’s comparing an overweight tractor to a turbocharged civic. ford is gay, fudds think they’re educated but their information is outdated by over 100 years and have also never been in or seen a life threatening self defense situation against multiple people. I’d literally rather bet my life on a shitty Beretta 92 platform gun than a 1911
The original Glock mags didn’t have the metal liner that they do now. They would swell slightly when loaded and most times you would have to pull them out if they were full. I’ve never had any problem loading any of the modern ones.
@@kevinware3268 bigger mag capacity, easier to dismantle, and more practical for beginners (1911 mechanism is a little more complex than Beretta and Glock, making it less a beginner friendly)
I would choose 1911, I think it's more reliable and is more slim, so it can be compact, but in reality, I would take a 357 Magnum compact revolver, 1 shot and everything is done. God bless you, Jesus loves you
@@raidenjooj1152 slim yeah, if you like slim guns its a good choice. However i am not sure about reliable, Glock also gotta be reliable to have such a big reputation for being practical. But 1911 definetely gotta be reliable for winning 2 world wars lol. Guys in the end you use what you like, it's not that much of a big deal. Just if you're starting out you may go with something a little easier for you.
Literally had a g17 3rd gen stolen and years later, police found it in the bed of a pickup truck being chewed by the new owner's pitbull. It was found in Wisconsin and it was stolen from my home in California lol.
@@stormtruppoWhat a Wiener schnitzel! Also, just had to use a defective mag. Uhh… yeah! That really helps upbuild that 1911 ego… “I’m a man, I’m a man, I’m a real big man!!” This has got to be some kind of a joke.🙄
That's what I thought. It was intended to be funny, and the comments are funnier because the hardcore gun enthusiasts are always having a pissing contest with each other over who's is the best. 😄
In-to-nation .... important when you want to use sarcasm. If you don't use sarcastic intonation, but say it was said in sarcasm, you're just...lying. And too much on the 'net I've seen/heard "oh yeah, I was sarcastic, but you didn't catch that" as an excuse because the content backfired :). It's basic communications, and the OP ... doesn"'t :)
A Glock and a 1911 walk into a bar, The 1911 challenged the Glock to a drinking contest. The Glock laughed and said you won't even make it past 8 rounds.
In terms of reliability, high & long time rate fire capacity, easy to use, good conceal carry charector, low Recoil, hold 17 rounds of ammo, fire large quantity rounds of ammo.....etc etc, So because of these extraordinary qualities...i would prefer to choose Glock any day rather than choosing a 1911. Glock is my winner.
I think they meant to underscore the fact that the 1911 has been in continuous production since ....umm...1911. Awesome pistol. That said , i carry a g43x
@@jescde88it's not even the fact it's a 1911 y'all just hate the .45 lmao, y'all would never pick up a 13+1 g21 or a 10+1 g30, which is pretty understandable for .45's ass cheeks ballistics but the way y'all try to act like it's the actual 1911 that's the problem is ridiculous, cause the moment you all see a Browning hi power your dicks start tingling with excitement
Probably have a better chance of missing all 15 with the g19, I love Glocks but I ain’t gonna pretend their triggers are even comparable to a stock 1911 trigger and I own two Timney trigger for two different Glocks. Still don’t compare
@@BrokeBoysManifesto that’s too bad, I really wish there were like a way to modify a firearm with different pieces to improve its performance. Almost like if it were done the Glock would smoke any 1911 every single day because it’s an outdated weapon
@@davidbyrn8630 "over 2 days in 1910, an early colt 1911 pistol fired 6000 rounds of ball ammo without a single malfunction. at one point, it became too hot to handle, got a quick dunk in a bucket of water, resumed firing wihout missing a beat." -free range american
I once read in a comment section someone who quoted their father who used a 1911 in Vietnam. He said, “if someone can survive 7 45 rounds, they’ve earned the right to kill me.”
I just recently bought a G45 mos to carry as a winter carry. Im not afraid to scratch the slide. My sig 1911 is a safe queen, always has been, always will be.
I was about to say that. And I have a strong feeling I know what he done to that mag. If the springs arent perfect in place, plates eject out. Both those guns were at least partly from germany. I never touched a glock, but verify sigs are well made. I bet so are the glocks
The issue with the 1911 is that cleaning is a pain. I like the 45 Caliber for both. The 1911 is definitely sleek and accurate, Glock can not be called sleek it's pretty boring, but tough.
I love a 1911, none better. But I carried a Glock 19 for nearly 20 years out of my 30 as a police officer. It is strictly a utility weapon, it’s not meant to be pretty, slick, or stylish. Mine never failed on the range or on the streets. It’s just a dependable tool. I’ve been retired now for 15 years, still carry that same Glock. But I love my 1911s.
@@TheGodof398 Both pistols have their good points and bad. I like a 1911 for its balance , feel and reliability. Plus I like the .45 round. I like the Glock simply for its reliability and mag capacity. And it’s easier to CCW. I learned to shoot and maintain on a 1911 when I was 12. If I had to choose only one, I would choose a 1911.
I haven’t stood there and told someone to shoot me with different bullets; however, getting shot with a 9mm is not the same as getting shot with a .45 acp
@@xtremekill99 Have you ever even been shot little man? I don't give a damn what caliber it is, that crap hurts like nothing else, and hurts decades later even AFTER it sort of heals.
I’d much rather get shot by a 9mm than a round made to put down meth’d up Germans. I promise you it’s gonna feel different. And if your point is that flocks can be chambered in .45 acp yea fair they can. It doesn’t mean it’s less of a piece of trash because the projectile can accurately say, “daddy daddy look, I’m just like you now” to the 1911.
Yep, have both. Love my 1911, but the Glock has never missed a beat and if you have a model 21 or 41, you have 13 rounds of 45 ACP and both are easy to gripp. The trigger is DA only and to me, adds some built in safety. You don't have to hate the Glock to appreciate the beauty of a 1911.
They both have their places. The whole Glock vs. 1911 is sometimes wack because I feel people want to say one’s trash. You can have preference while still admiring the other is a very well made handgun and there is a place for it.
1911s will always have a special place in my heart. The G19 has been tried and true for as long as its been around. Both are legends. I have owned both, and they both have their up and downsides.
Not really. My older brother has a Glock, and he just bought a new magazine that was pitch perfect mint condition. only problem: the spring kept locking up. I’m sorry but if a gun is reliable for 2 word wars, and another can’t even load bullets I. The mag without locking up, it’s pretty obvious which is the better one
kinda weird how people credit the 1911 with helping win ww1 when the US waited so long to join the war that all our allies were annoyed and we didn't actually really help that much or do anything important i mean we WOULDA helped a lot of woodrow wilson wasnt like the worst president ever and we had a cool guy like teddy but
@@nade7242Well the US didnt wait long at all to start picking sides and start funding the Allies. A massive misconception is the US just kinda was watching from the sidelines, until the tail end, when in all actuality, without the munitions, resources, and foodstuffs provided in the opening months to the Allies from the US stopped the war from being the war that would be over by Christmas that the Germans thought it was going to be. Places like Britain were embarrassingly underequipt (they only had like 800k rifles while germany had a little under 5 milion.), since the only reason like literally half of the mother fuckers were in there was because they had pacts that said they had to.
@@nade7242Also the German Spring Offensive (The thing that back fired on Germany and lead to their defeat) was a direct result of the United States entering. It was an act of sheer desperation, as they knew the stalemate was broken in the Allies favor, and the goal was just one last Ooh Rah to try and do as much damage as possible to try and hopefully save them.
@@williamkeller5836really? I've had Glocks and Glock clones and I've never had a problem with them. Even SF and SEALs choose Glock, and they know guns.
1. Oil your Glock. 2. That's a safety feature. 3. Buy a better quality magazine from a better manufacturer. My dad had 4 Glocks and one is 11 years old at this point with not one of these problems yet.

I am a complete gun novice but, I want a pistol for personal protection----something that's both affordable and powerful. Which pistol do you recommend? 🤔
I own few of both and both are beautiful in their own respective way. 1911 is a piece of art, has a history that preceded it, beautiful and solid. Glocks are modern, practical, reliable and hold more than double of ammunition. Why to choose between them when I can have both!.
That’s kind of what I’d say. Although the Glock, aesthetically speaking, is a bit more “Lego” and robotic, it still works and nothing cycles faster, and you can usually pick one up for less than $1k. I love M1911’s, but I don’t hate Glocks, that’s silly, in fact, all the haters here can kiss my nice phat pro-gun Canadian a$$. He had to make sure his Glock needed lube and the magazine had a defect. Anyone who runs down the other product really can’t be trusted.
@grahambrown1980 the magazine didn't have a defect , it's plastic just like most the glock is plastic, its insane to expect cheap recycled bottle plastic to do well, the average glock explodes before 1000 rounds have been fired through it because the plastic becomes more brittle with every shot
"It sounds like two gay hobos fighting over a shopping cart" Never in a thousand millennia did I expect to hear THAT as a description for the sound of a slide, that was perfect

As a retired LE with 22 yrs of service, all I carried was a Glock because they were cheap, we beat the living tar out of them in training, and not once did it ever let me down. Tough little bastard. Meanwhile the touchy 1911's were stove-piping, double feeding, and needed to be meticulously cleaned every 100 or so rounds to avoid malfunctions. But yeah, they look cool.
actually is all that precision machining and full metal that makes the 1911 unreliable. great gun otherwise. If i drop my 1911 I'm actually concerned it may be compromised. i can hit my glock with a hammer and know it will work right next time I use it.

He was holding the baseplate removed from the magazine and released it with his hand. Also, the Glock magazine is metal as well, just surrounded by polymer.
I like the look of a baretta M92FS, but i wish i could find one chambered in .45. Not that i hate on 9mm, its a reliable round and its all you need for self defense. I just like .45 because its fun to shoot at my home range.
I have a 92D. Double action only, no safety, recessed hammer and fixed combat sights. I can throw it down the stairs, hammer nails with it and still put 16 rounds in the black.
What 1911 are you using that jams? Only issue I've had was that one of the Kimber magazines I bought had the metal follower getting stuck towards the top of it. Took it apart and sanded it down on both sides then I polished it. Problem solved. I've heard that hollow points can get hung up on the feed ramps in some of them, but a quick polishing eliminates that as well.
In my opinion the Glock is better for you can shoot a farther distance than the 1911 I still like the 1911 I have multiple gun models of it but Glock still wins in my opinion 🔫
Same here brother the only 1911 I ever had that never had a problem was a Rock Island G.I. LOL that thing has performed flawlessly for years but my other 1911s have had issues in the past but my favorite 1911 is the Remington r1
I have been shooting Glocks for over 5 years now and I have never had magazine issues. I can load 17 rounds into a Glock 17 mag and it will work perfectly.

What kind of 1911 is it?? Ive never had a 1911 or a glock jam/misfire, both are great guns so its wild your 1911 jams. Is it in .45acp or .38 super, 9mm???
@TheFriendlyCholo1301 Kimber 1911 .45 and it jams 3 out 10 times regardless of how "steady you keep after firing." The irony of it? Cost me more than double the price of a glock.
Do you own an original military 1911? Have you ever shot an original 1911? Mine is a 80 year old 1911A1 made by Remington. It is not a complected pistol to field strip. I can strip mine and put it back together in less than 3 minutes. As for jamming, I have never had mine jam using ball ammo. Which is what it is designed to use. Original 1911's are rugged, and dam malfunction proof. Rember, 1911's were designed to hit an area the size of the human trunk at 75 feet and function under the most of abusive conditions. Something they do very well.
You can change spring rates on a Glock and throw reliability out the window too. Or there’s another issue, but there IS something very wrong with that thing if what you say is happening. Shit mage can cause a lot of misfeeds too
