Waiting for the Verna N-Line now. The new Verna could really benefit from the N Steering Wheel and a new alloys design. It would be really interesting if they can bring one with a manual, since they do already offer it on the Turbo variants. It’s a shame tho that India doesn’t get any of the pure N cars Hyundai sells abroad
Yea its a shame!! But our market will not appreciate it, as it's now a trend to criticize Hyundai for becoming cool! Also if the i20 N comes it will sell at around 20 lakh!! And u know the Indian Mentality 💀☕
Instead the Verna N line they should bring Elantra N line. Looks freaking fabulous and the interior as well is totally different than the normal Elantra.
@@riktamsarkar7684 dude we didnt even received the next gen normal elentra and u expecting N line version of it💀. Here the premium D segment sedans have already died!!
@@Ayush_552 The problem lies within them. Many people can easily afford to buy such a car but they will never release their best facelift in India. Like the recent facelift looks awesome they will not release it here instead they will release the next facelift which dosen't look good at all. The 2023 Civic looks quite good than the Civic we had (Personal preference) but they will not release it.
@@Ayush_552I agree that not a lot of people will buy it but those who will, won’t mind paying extra just to own max performance. VW has brought Tiguan and Skoda has brought Kodiaq as CBU units. Hyundai has done the same for Tucson. If they are already importing cars, they can import special units in limited numbers and just sell them. Sort of like what VW did with the Polo GTI and what luxury car brands do all the time. There are certain cars that people in India would love to own even if they have to pay higher prices, like the Ford Everest, Mustang, Land Cruiser, Tesla etc
You forgot the Smoooooth engine. We're proud owner of an i20 (not N), and we bought it only because of the Smooth engine and the beautiful steering. The NVH levels are unmatched by any car in and above the segment.
The nline feels so much better than the regular i20. Over a short trip it felt better to steer than my polo and almost as good as my last gen fiesta. Don’t know how the long terms experience is but surely and manual would have sealed the deal. I however am considering the N8 imt since the N6 seems like bad value. Somehow the dual clutch is not as good as we have experienced in the vw-Skoda cars and I felt that the pedal shifters don’t work very well.
Love this motorinc platform❤❤❤ I bought n line dct in November. 1. Second and third gears on paddle are so power deriving - perceivingly. And on corners, exit is very and i mean very quick. 2. Tyres need a slight improvement. Not that they are bad. 3. Just a piece of advice for existing owners who are an enthusiast - if you are switching to sports mode, most of us will have to LEARN to use paddles rightly. The car itself is so well packaged and totally different just because of the suspension. You dont't get tired or mentally exhausted driving it for long doing highway speeds. 4. And you (owners) should definitely brag about the mobile operated a/c where the car still remains unlocked, a thing a lot of people do not know (non owners).
Lack of a proper manual, now it's available only in an imt and DCT automatic transmissions only. New Verna Turbo manual is a punchy powerful sedan in its segment. Hyundai's DCT is a quiet slower and hard to launch, that's why the polo TSI always be the drag winner. If it comes to a proper manual, i20 will definitely be the fastest car in its segment❤
Ok i sold the ford figo (2nd gen) for a i20 naturally aspirated petrol engine. Well it seems its quite a lovely car. Pretty happy with it. And test drove the n line too, didnt feel much difference, other than the noise from the exhaust and that gaudy red inserts here and there. Tbh, the 1.2 kappa engine is not as slow as they say. 0 to 100 in 14 odd secs give or take. Maybe those drivers have less skill and they want the machine to do everything. 😂 Bottom line im loving it ❤
@@_pr0mZRivals of venue like breeza, nexon, sonet all have thier top models priced around 16 lakhs. In fact even fronx costs over 15 lakhs for top model
Altroz provides stiffer suspension and steering from the base model. Engine might not be as refined as Hyundai, but it’s a good overall package with far better safety.
Don’t forget that the idling time of a turbo petrol engines is way more than that of a NA engine. I owned one in 2022 so I know where it lacked. NA engines don’t come with the fault that if idling not done properly on a winter cold start the turbo will fail? Fewer failing components on a NA engine makes up for a better VFM. Cars have to be reliable not fuel guzzling liabilities!
In the VAG manuals it is recommended to get the car moving as soon as we start the engine. That is just a recommendation, not a compulsion, and I had a turbo-diesel Manza which had run almost 1.2 lakh kms. never needed any priming of the engine.
14 lakhs for 120ps Nline and think about i20 N with 200+ PS it will price around 20-25 lakhs. Do you think people in India consider a hatchback for that price?
ill rather get a kushaq base for the same price and add an infotainment and get it tuned... much more safe, better everything and performs so much better... add some forged alloys and itll be very much a great drivers car
I don't know about value for money the I20 costs 14 lac on road. Also the old i 20 had better plastics that the new one, I am in the plastic so horrible. Pricing was a 12.5L and Hyundai used better plastics. This would be a perfect car.
Price is higher because it’s the best hatchback available. It has the best engine out of all hatchbacks available in India, is still more economical than most of em, it has easily the best manual and automatic gearboxes in the segment, has the most features, best tech and most premium interiors too. And while it’s expensive on top end, it’s Magna and Sportz variants are v v value for money. So it is still a justifiable purchase.
Can confirm this. I get about 7-8 with four passengers on board in banglore traffic. But again it's no different from 1 litre TSI (manual) as my colleague owns one .
7-8 as a peak blr traffic driver, although u can extract more with filling a larger proportion of the tank with Premium petrol for places like Indian Oil and Shell
