TickTick has the same global shortcut for quick capture, just like Todoist, if not better.

1. TickTick has QuickAdd as well, press Alt + Shift + A 2. I find Folders/Lists more than enough, I can also add Tags/Filters to sort them even better 3. TickTick integrating is meh, I actually switched to Todoist because it integrates with Fantastical So my workflow is Fantastical + Google Calendar + Todoist + Reminders + Obsidian + Drafts Fantastical shows: Google Calendar + Todoist + Reminders Google Calendar is my main Calendar Todoist for tasks and projects Reminders to remind myself Obsidian for notes Drafts for Quick Capture, as I can easily click 1 button and send the Note/Draft to Fantastical, Todoist, Reminders and Obsidian

I didnt get this video. For 1st argument, you can do quick capture in ticktick to with Ctrl + Alt + A. If you know todoist shortcuts, you have to know ticktick's shortcuts too. Why are you lying about it? For 2nd argument, in any list, you can create sections as much you want. For 3rd argument, ticktick has its own calendar. Which is better because you dont need to use an extra thing like google calendar. Its all in one app. I literally didnt get your video. Maybe your second argument might be reasonable but the other 2 arguments are not subjective.

2 months later, but TickTick calendar is paid, anyways you can integrate TickTick tasks into Google Calendar (vice versa is paid) which is good enough

Can you drag tasks directly into your calendar - and have them automatically time-block according to how long the task was set? Does it have a dynamic task scoring system - not just based on priority 1,2,3 - but also based on other factors (how long the task will take, how long it has been in your To Do list, etc.) Can you MUTE a task that is due in 3 weeks - but you might not need to see it for another week or so? Do you really want to be distracted in your thinking by tasks that you don't have to think about for a few weeks yet? per "Can you drag tasks directly into your calendar" no you cannot. You can do this in TickTick though.

I'm bouncing around between various ideas and may actually land back on Todoist - mainly because Amplenote's free version seems to be a closed ecosystem that does not sync with G-Cal - meaning I can't share my calendar with wife and friends. REALLY interesting features if you watch that video - but closed. That could be a deal breaker. Also - I wonder what psychological factors have some of us suddenly waking up one day and wondering "Wow - I should be getting so much more done - I wonder if it's all my app's fault?" ;-) Sure - occasionally we need to do a Steven Covey and "Sharpen the Saw" (7 Habits of Highly Effective People). Have time for rest and renewal - AND working ON our systems, not just in them. But.... sometimes it's so much more fun to bumble around the internet debating ToDoist vs xyz rather than actually doing my work! Which is why I have a 10-page summary to share.... (winks)
