Another big change is her cheekbone contour, just look at her in Queen Of Tears compared to last time. Her cheekbones look more defined and the brown contour is obvious too, and it suits her so much, it slimmed down her face and made her look more sophisticated and sharp, also making her face looks smaller and less round compared to before.
Go search for 🇯🇵 Keiko Kitagawa, 🇭🇰 Gillian Chung these two person in my pov looks the most similar to 🇰🇷 Kim Jiwon All natural beauty 😍 there all belongs to those angelic goddess face 🥰
ohhh ur right yes i noticed that bcz kim so hyun has and i realsied she dont...and her previous appearance does have that cutesy look bcz of the aegyosal,,,anw i rlly like both 😭💝
I've to give it to the koreans man. They have a knack for focusing on even the smallest of details. Like I have not seen any other industry that takes care of even the tiniest details like they do. I've also seen some korean videos and even the people there do that. That's such a good trait to have.
Sometimes it’s not about the man, but about embracing the character role (aka work). She’s a professional and clearly takes her work seriously. I applaud for putting that much effort into her character
@@sincerelysofHey! Wanted to say: the original commenter above you meant "man" like you would say,"Whoah, man! Look at this!" as informal slang to refer to anyone reading their comment or just a non-descript audience of people. Its an expression. They didn't mean that the makeup was made for men to enjoy or made to please men; they were actually agreeing with you here that the industry really prioritizes detail! Hope this helps. 😊 (I'm from the United States and I use the word "man" this way very frequently myself 😅)
Yep but I would also like to add the fact that Korean beauty industry/culture is perfect for developing body dysmorphia. I grew up both in American culture and Korean culture, and although both cultures have aspects of vanity in them, the way Korea approaches these beauty standard is so intricate its almost insane. Like the length of mid face, shape of skull, distance of eyes, height of eyes, ear shape, neck length, calf length, etc the list doesn't end I swear to god lol And yes they usually tackle this with the approach to 'conceal or minimize flaws' but it doesn't change the fact that these little details are treated like flaws indicating you're lesser than if you don't have or have certain features. There's just a thin line between endless self improvement and making people feel insecure about looking the way they are(which is perfectly fine and human). Theres even this 'actress' aesthetic and 'kpop idol' aesthetic, which basically means actresses are on a different league compared to kpop idols(with the connotation that kpop idol visuals are less worthier in rank). Like wtf does that even mean. EVERYTHING about beauty is ranked and its so toxic.
@@KrisC849 everything has good and bad sides. Depends on the perspective nothing is entirely bad or entirely good. Because of their knack for focussing on details, the Koreans were able to do a lot as a society that was one of poorest countries in Asia in the 80s. It's this same trait of being very perfectionist that led them to create kdrama kpop industry and their high quality contents basically hallyu wave was possible because of such traits, to breakout and become a global thing, how many non America/uk countries have been able to do become a worldwide phenomenon... Yes it has it negative effects but there are positive ones too
She actually looks really good and natural. Usually most celebrities as they get old...ends jp ruining their faces. But she looks absolutely beautiful in queen of tears!
My most beloved Korean actress. I felt for Ji Won in 'Liberation Notes'. She looks more natural compared to some actresses. I can't take my eyes from her elegant beauty ❤❤❤
GIRL THE TIMING- I just started it today and could NOT stop trying to pinpoint why she looks so different before and soooo beautiful in a way I didn’t see before and was even looking up photos from previous dramas I’ve seen her in, thank GOD for this video! 😂 made it easier for me. Like I could not stop admiring her beauty in this drama!
@@rapperthvit is very good. The acting , style everything is amazing. The love between the ml and fl is so realistic and beautiful. It does have a bit of comedy but also has many emotional scenes (which is kinda obvious considering the show is called queen of tears lol). I myself thought it would be a bit boring thinking that it would just be a simple romance drama but damn i was hooked on to it lol.
I absolutely noticed her eyebrows, it became thinner and more arched, and the parting of her hair. They were parted slightly on one side and added volume at the top. The change did make her look even better. But one think I noticed is when she lost weight, she looks more Korean now than before coz I really thought she looks Chinese/Japanese than Korean when I first saw her in DOTS. But just my opinion, she looks better with a bit of cheeks just like her previous dramas..
she's so beautiful inside and out im grateful she took part of QoT which the public were able to see her top notch acting skills i hope she gets more successful project after QoT
All versions and character of her is just so stunningly beautiful...I'm speechless each time....I had a big girl crush on her from BoysOverFlowers, fell for her in Descendants of the Sun...I surrendered and took the plunge in Queen of Tears...😩
Thank you for this. I’m a huge fan of hers and I was also wondering what’s different aside from the hair, clothes, and her contours. She’s truly mesmerizing 😩🫶🏼
thats what makes kdrama is something from another level. everything is perfectly handled untill the small detail like this. until the smallest gesture, even the lips color & make up look to match the character. woahh..
She has lost a lot of weight too. I tried to check and compare previous and current side profiles, focusing on her ears, earlobe and skin next to the tragus; it looks untouched. Im no expert but these things sometimes are pretty obvious. I don’t think she had a facelift or fillers done, she’s just really naturally beautiful and with her loosing weight, her face became more defined and elongated. Plus some good makeup artists. She’s a gorgeous. ❤
Did anyone else notice ? The colour of the clothes she wore in queen of tears suited her much better than the earthy sandy colours of descendants n pastels of her previous dramas.
I hope she eats well now that the drama ended. She lost a lot of weight because of her strict diet. She used to have chubby cheeks, and I love her for it.
she’s so beautiful. i’ve been into korean culture for around 10 years and she’s still so fascinating to me, there’s barely anyone who can top her in the visual department
❤❤ Always love you 💓😊. And I love you forever 💞💞. I wish you happy so much 😍😊 every day ❤️😘 every time ❤❤, healthy, wealthy, prosperity and successful.🎉🎉 From Mr. Vorapod wangnawasri (Bell).😊 (Bangkok, Thailand).❤❤❤
I swear she makes me want to have my natural dark hair color again 😅 I’m so used to light color since more that 10 years and I used to hate ma black hair…but she slays, so Imma try it again 😂
As a man and unaware of beauty facts, this felt weird watching...👀 Cause hey, i didn't notice any darn thing besides her complexion. And I'm blown off now by how much the brows actually affect the face's look 💀💀
