Your health depends on safe balanced water. What is your best and safest drinking water source? Tap, filtered, or bottled water? Make the right choice now.
1. If you change the filters regularly, you never have to worry about bacteria. 2. You're getting very little minerals from water in comparison to your diet (if you have a healthy diet) 3. If you're more worried about the small amount of leeching ro water will cause in your body in comparison to all the bad stuff it removes; simply add a pinch of salt to the water.
Yes! Allow me to add: 1. There are filtered water systems with an added UV at the end light which kills 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses. 2. One kiwi supplies more minerals than a years's worth of spring water (food is for nutrients, water is for hydration). 3. Read #2.
Different wavelengths of light grow different bacteria. There is no "pure water". It's all radio active and try filtering that. I bought a very good iron and the instructions say to use tap water so the water won't leach out the metals in the iron. I use an RO system and soak salt, potassium and mag in the water. Not sure what to do about the "carbon" filters as carbon can be any recycled trash and bacteria grow on carbon. More bacteria come out of the carbon filters than go into it.
It's just insane how much everything in life is just a scam... Mattresses, pillows, water, food, basically everything to do with life is just a rip off and the actual good options is either unattainable or extremely beyond expensive
@@crabbynebula the fact that you think it's not true proves that mattress companies, and other products for that matter, have you sold on the lie. It's basically glorified foam and springs that has never been altered much. Pillows are the same crap too, nothing but polyurethane foam or feathers or synthetic material... Never actually made better, just better advertising statements for the same crap
lots of misconceptions there: 1. bacterial growth: not really if filters contains silver as silver kill them. Also there are different filtering systems and for example Reverse Osmosis or Distilled water provide 0 bacteria water 2.the 'good' minerals from tap water are neither good neither useful: as shown in the book how tap water can harm you from Dr norman walker, the minerals in tap water can't be used by the body because they are not organic nor ionic, they are dead and clogg the veins and arteries in the body as he shows both with numbers and dead autopsies. Minerals are usable by the cells at the source but quickly clump together, loose their electrons and are hardly usable by the body. Plus they are in low amount compared to food, and food is the source of minerals not the water. Except if you drink the water at the spring in nature, not spring water in bottles. 3. last point about mineral less water being dangerous is also misleading: the acidity of reverse osmosis or distilled water is not strong enough to rid your body of its minerals as they are part of the tissues and the bones. What is right is that if your body has dead minerals in it and it has then those acidic waters mineral free will remove the dead minerals from the body. The interest of having filters is to remove all the bad things in water: chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, medicine residues, cryptosporidium, etc... And in fact filters don't remove enough: water is an heterodyne or frequency sponge (search water memory II from german dr. world in a drop) thus water has to be also cleared of its memory by a vortex or EM. sources: www.amazon.com/Water-Can-Undermine-Your-Health/dp/0890190372 www.freedrinkingwater.com/water-education/quality-water-mineral.htm
What about when hospitals administer sodium and potassium through an IV drip? Do you think that potassium through the IV can't be used for a healthy purpose by the patient's body?
@@RockinfromtheGrave I know, right? Dr Norman Walker, a.k.a. quackaroo, doesn't have a clue about chemistry, nor biology, nor how the Scientific Method is conducted. All molecules, whether they contain Carbon or not, are, technically, not alive, to begin with - so they are "dead". Simple ionic molecules tend to be used just as much by the body as a complex organic water-soluble molecule (it's the ions) - and typically more so (the fat soluble foods with certain minerals like K, Ca, Mg, are broken down in the stomach and you're back to the ions again). The "water memory" hypothesis was thrown out decades ago, though some data with ice (solid water) may have some memory effects, however, SEM work on liquid water shows no clumping (as claimed) nor non-random organization of water molecules at all. So it's mostly BS with 1 possible exception near the boundaries of containers (some call 'EZ' water), but those conditions are really a function of water tension and surface tension interplay (which any "memory effect" would disappear as soon as another molecule knocks one out - which happens billions of times per second). Vortexing of water really only has the effect of trapping more gasses (shaking traps more), but the frequency absorption or emission ( RF, IR, Vis, UV, etc) effects stop when agitation stops and any trapped gas is released in a pretty short period of time, so benefits there would be little (pH would fall with absorption of CO2, so slight acidity may be good? who knows). As far as calcification of arteries, most evidence points to high carbohydrate intake (sugar), which causes inflammation and the arterial repair systems go into overdrive (the makeup of arterial plaque is not alien to the body - in small amounts, it's necessary to maintain a healthy circulatory system). Alcohol is the other culprit depending on the person's metabolism, metabolites may include acetone (you heard it here - yes, nail polish remover!). Next time you see someone with diabetes that's not taking their insulin properly, or hang out with an alcoholic, take a whiff of air and see if you can smell a trace of acetone from their breath.
For those who are unaware, Colorado and California both use recycled sewer water which is combined into potable tap water intended for drinking, cooking and bathing. It has been dubbed toilet to tap. Therefore those residents should really use a water filter on their tap water.
Spring Water usually comes in plastic containers. When temperature is warm the plastic will leak out chemicals and micro plastics into the water. So then again Spring water would still have bad stuff in it. So in today's world I think filtering water would be the best way to go overall.
Lol no. And if your water taste fine it’s most likely fine. Just let a jug of water sit for a night all the chemicals will evaporate. Sucks there’s so many idiots in this world it’s insane.
Ummm...not all bacteria is beneficial. I mean go ahead and drink cholera, staphylococcus., syphilis., streptococcus, tuberculosis and keep saying. It'll help your gut flora. Whatever floats your boat.
If your filters are that dirty after 3 months, you NEED to filter it and change filters more often, maybe you should also filter the "spring water" you are drinking. There are springs and then there are springs, if indeed the water comes from a spring at all!
You do realize that bottled water, including water labeled as "spring" water, is not regulated in any way and could be nothing more than water that comes out of someone's backyard water spigot, don't you? This includes the big companies that deliver water to both residents and businesses.
@John Ratliff John most bottled water suppliers do not and are not required to list most of what is their bottled water. I worked in that industry for a time and know there are far more toxins than most water. FDA? I trust less than the cdc or fauci.

Please I just went to the grocery store and they list the ingredients on the bottle and where the spring is located. People need to stop passing false information this conspiracy stuff is getting out of hand
@@AdrianMartinez-qo9mk Do you honestly believe they list everything? They list only what will avoid law suits. I know for a fact. I worked in that industry. Their spring water was like everyone else's spring water it was pumped from a well and was NOT from ANY spring. They got around that by stating that all water has bubbled through a spring at some point. There were heavy amounts of fluoride and chlorine dumped in also. But advertise as fresh PURE, CLEAN spring water. Any business in the world LIES. How's that poison antifreeze in your toothpaste doing for you?
I've been drinking home distilled water for 8+ years, you are right it does leach minerals from my body, but they're non-beneficial non soluble minerals. And I would never take nasty supplement minerals to replenish them, but instead eat a healthy clean diet rich in greens with beneficial soluble minerals. UNUS❤✌!
Hello. If I drank distilled on empty stomach, bam, back pain. I rode bicycles a lot. And honey also gives me the same pain as distilled water. I think our joints heal in layers and are depleted in layers at a time. Thnks.
Thought you were going in a different direction; however, you lost me when you started saying that you need minerals from water. Though this is somewhat true, it is not the best option because many county waters these days are flowing through old aging pipes. I would suggest purification of water and remove everything; then take a small speck of Himalayan salt and add to a gallon of water. This will reintroduce essential minerals to your water without the disgusting junk in tap water.
Water treatment choice imo depends on where you live & its water source. When my Dad passed away from cancer, including secondary bone cancer, I realised that our area had a noticeably higher rate of primary & secondary bone cancer than my country's average. So I started to investigate. Numerous reputable studies show that if in a hard water area, bones, joints and even arteries can become damaged if water is drunk straight from the tap over time. Fluoride also adds to this issue. I didn't want the faff of reverse osmosis fitted. Also, people say that they wish they'd never had it fitted as drinking water can taste mouldy, even when they change the filter/s. So I decided on an Epic water filter. It was great but at £46 a filter, I was disappointed when mine was so slow after less than 4 weeks & then packed up. Now I twice filter. Once through an inexpensive & very long lasting Waterdrop pitcher to get rid of some of the chalky deposits. Then from the Waterdrop into the Epic water pitcher & voila! My Epic filter now lasts for 3-4 months easily. All it needs is an occasional wash out. The Waterdrop I dismantle & wash out in mild washing up water every couple of days as that's not refrigerated. The water doesn't stagnate in it though as it's continuously used & flushed through. Both pitchers and filters are BPA free too. The trouble with our machine size mineral water containers is that they're plastic. It's not usually stated if they are BPA free or how long the water has been in the plastic. A good double filter system is great for me. Water is crystal clear, tastes perfect. Never any nasties detected. My kettle never gets scaled up like they used to either. & I've avoided possible prolonged plastic seepage into my drinking water. I only became a water geek after seeing my Dad's skeleton drastically deteriorate so fast. Particularly his spine. He was a keen sportsman most of his life so this was even more awful. Exercising for all those years meant that he was always drinking tap water. Made me think that there may be something in this hard water & too much fluoride ingestion theory.
Actually all fresh water will depleate your minerals. The way you get minerals is through good food. If you want to have extra minerals in water, I would just sprinkle some natural salt in it and by natural I mean one that actually clumps in humidity.
Yeah, I hate to say it but unless you are pouring pink salt into your water you are not getting them from tap water. The body cannot process tap water minerals. They are inorganic. And you can look up the local municipal water report and it will only show about 4 of the many you need.
I would invite people to check out Jayson calton books about micronutrient deficiencies bc this is a way bigger issue than people seem to think. There def are many important minerals within water imo. I'm personally trying to find out this exact issue. One things for sure, we our deficient and our diets lack necessary minerals and nutrients and I'm looking for some info/ resources that dive much deeper if anyone is aware of any?
@Will Swift hot water is not good for filters. Only boiling would kill anything. Bacteria is not a threat. Ceramic, and Spin down sediment filters are cleanable!
He starts this ramble telling everyone that he has had a RO filter on his house for 15 years....then proceeds to go on and on as to the greatness of the filtering Capabilities by showing you the dirty filters after 3 months of use but then back tracks on what he says and basically tells you how they're dangerous and loaded with bacteria and you should not use one. The icing on the cake was when he went to his water Dispenser telling everybody that this is what he uses at home. When at the very beginning of the video he said that he has had an RO filter on his house for 15 years..... so which is it, does he have an RO filter or does he have a dispenser??? should you use the RO filter or should you use a dispenser??? Maybe it's neither one of them and this guy's just full of shit
Not all kind of filter removes the beneficial minerals. Some of the filters has antibacterial features. You should carefully select your water filter sytem, replace it in time and you probably avoid the negative effects drinking filtered water, not to mention the purpose of the filtering, drinking water with much less harmfull elements in it. I think best to use water filter pitchers instead of a whole very expensive system.
"Eliminate any bacteria" -No, if you didn't clean/replace your filters for a while, you could get harmful levels of bacteria that will cause you health issues. Bacteria in water can certainly be a killer. But if the filters say 3-6 months, you would probably have to go well beyond that to have even mildly harmful levels. Legionella is a killer, and found quite commonly in water systems that do not get cleaned out, or hot enough to naturally kill it. If you leave leave same filters in place, you will find legionalla present.
Leni Dubel you do know those devices are complete bs. “filtered water” doesnt mean the suspended solids have to be 0, hell where do you think the minerals come from. they also fail to measure particles that are bad for you
@@sreenathreddy1790 spring water is water from an underground aquifer. The water is naturally filter and mineralized as it passes through the many layers above the aquifer.
You can always add a UV filter after the carbon/reverse osmosis filters that will take care of any bacteria you may be worried about. Then to add minerals back in you could always make some Sole water and add a teaspoon to your first glass of water of the day.
You are 100 % right. One of the best way to keep minerals in your body is to start a day with a glass of water and a bit of sea salt, Himalayan salt etc.
Interesting to hear about the RO Fraud. My next door neighbor has one right at His main intake. I came here seeing if there is a good on tap filter but hose Maybe just the same. It's a conundrum but I think I will just stick to the reasonable tap here in Buffalo NY.
The Waters Co. Filters are all see through and you can see what's going on in them. Additionally, it comes with a cartridge of trace minerals which sits in the filtered water chamber to replace the minerals the filter removed.
By law, spring water which is transported via tanker truck to the bottling company is required to have chlorine added to it for transport, and then the chlorine is filtered back out via charcoal before bottling. Thus the minerals are probably added back in artificially. The amount of fuel used to transport, bottle, transport AGAIN plus the plasticizers make tap water healthier -see your town report-. Mine has PFAS from old jewelry factory that leached so I must use NSF 53 level (Frizzlife triple stage filters) ... I probably should buy a silver pitcher too now that I think of it...
So do you plan on removing the filtration from your personal water in your home? As for leeching from the ground, as long as your pipe that is supplying the water is made of materials that are up to code this is unlikely. the filtration systems are, depending on the method, removing heavy minerals through ion exchange. this would mostly be your manganese and Iron which is what causes staining in your sink and tub. and depending on how hard your water is and the goal of treatment, you may have a ph set up to raise the pH of your water for a better quality of tap water. you may also include a separate nitrate system in order to remove harmful nitrates as the title implies. if you are worried about bacteria buildup in the system first be sure to maintain the system properly (change filters regularly, add salt when needed, add calcite when needed) and you can also add a chemical injection such as chlorine followed by a contact or retention tank. If you are worried about a smell or taste from the chemical, a carbon filter after the retention tank will do that. and if in the end, you are still worried about drinking the water, have a point-of-use R.O. installed with a separate faucet for drinking water. these are usually pretty affordable and can be done DIY or by a pro and provide a great tasting and safe source. think Aquafina but better. As for spring water, unless you are getting it from some of the fancier more expensive brands, it is collected shipped, or piped to a factory where it undergoes pretty much the same process but on a much larger scale
Great video. I have a question, the Spring Water the grosery stores sell.............. is that really Spring Water or is Just Purified Water....... with just a "Spring Water" Label ??
Great way to go? Spring water could contain, (as native Americans called bitter water arsenic ) in my village of birth in Wales someone had local spring tested intending to bottle and sell, local authority turned up and capped it over as it contained dangerous amounts of metals, that as far back every one had enjoyed its taste and coolness in summer.
thats true the crazy truth is pretty much all waters in america are poison and cancerous its almost as if this country is not supposed to be habited by humans
Well, I wouldn't be too worried about the "best" water. There is nothing inherently better about spring water except that it contains minerals and trace elements. This is easy to add back to filtered water with something like trace mineral drops, or you could just eat a healthy diverse diet. It's more important to make sure your water is free of contaminants, things such as pharmaceuticals, herbicides/pesticides, VOC's, lead, mercury, chlorine, cysts, etc. because those things pose a far greater health risk to your body.
you should NOT be depending on water for your daily minerals. If you are... something is really wrong with your diet. I use ZeroWater, no more 'stomach' issues. My coffee tastes better, spaghetti, soup, etc. NO WAY am I ever drinking tap water again. I don't use under the sink / inline filters; just a 22 cup filter tank that I use to stock 8 gallons of water in plastic water jugs. As they get used up, we filter up more water and keep the 8 gallon 'buffer' replenished. The filters last us about 35-40 gallons. Works for us.
I've had my reverse osmosis system leak flooding my kitchen, that is why I'm searching to possibly go an alternate route, obviously, having the water delivered is one way (no buying bottled water at the grocery store). But I think you should buy "drinking water" to use in your coffee maker if you do make coffee, the reason being that the minerals in spring water will build up fast and you'll than end up having to use de-scaler on a frequent basis. You could just pour your spring water into a water pitcher and that might reduce the amount of minerals. Whoever delivers your spring water might also be able to provide you with a smaller portion of drinking water.
There are supply lines designed to prevent flooding under your sink. If it senses a full flow (break in line) it will shut off. It won't stop a slow leak but they are a nice peace of mind still. Something to consider.
I have a promo hTrio water/coffee dispenser. The 5 gallon water jugs are $2.20 to fill up. About half the price of the equivalent amount of water sold in packs of 16 oz bottles. Delivery is way more expensive.
We have been using ro water purifiers for 25 years and everyone is completely healthy. You need to change filters every half year and don't have zo worry about bacteria. By the way, minerals are not taken from the water by the body and the membrane, filters all bacteria. Simple biophysics ...
I have filtered my water via drinking pitchers for years. I just got tired of using the pitchers for a few reasons. I think filtered water is a lot healthier compared to municipal tap water. As a result, I just ordered a Waterdrop 3 filter unit as it seemed to make the sense for my needs. I do not have room under my sink for a reverse osmosis system, and I cannot drill a hole for separate filtered water faucet. Anyway, that filter system is designed to filter fluoride, chlorine, metals (lead, mercury, and iron), and a host of other stuff I do not want to drink. I am also not too concerned about the miniscule amount of lead that come from my regular faucet. I do not want to drink toxic chemicals.
@@monhi64 The absolutely miniscule amount of lead coming from 4" of pipe from my standard faucet is so insignificant. That is what I referring to. Also, lead would accumulate in stagnant water sitting in the pipes. All you have to is run the tap a bit to basically get water that has zero lead lead in it. PS-Flouride is way worse than lead.
I used my waterdrop pitcher for the first time today. Love it! I travel for work and have to move often so not able to install under the sink filter ever.
@@Beast-mf7br Yes, it was so good for cavalry prevention that Hitler used it for all the people in his camps. None of the campers had any tooth decay. Yes, he was literally the first person to use it in water.

I currently use Brita water filters for drinking water. So far, it has worked well. Add in more minerals? Use vegetables, fruits, that are home grown or local farm grown.
But isn't that the black from the black charcoal inside the filtration cartridge? This old house cut a cartridge in half and it was already black inside so wouldn't that be why it looks black? Maybe what you have is different? Without the filter, faucet water looks clear in the glass with zero filter and does not smell or look cloudy...depending on where you live?
My problem over here is they installed a water softener tank in the building and now I cant stand the taste of the water. So I have been trying to find counter top water purifiers and I think I might buy the Rkin U1. I know its expensive but, well. Any thoughts on the Rkin U1 or any other water purifiers that don't have to be hooked up under the sink?
I was waiting for the 3rd option, Rainwater Harvesting. He said he didn't have a local spring. If is never rains where he lives, then he doesn't have a local source of water.
In Sydney they put chloramine gas in our tap water i have a 5 stage reverse osmosis under bench filter with a chloramine reducing cartridge installed. Change filters every 12 months for around $90 it all depends on where ur located and the concerns with your specific tap water. Spring water is about $120 per month delivered and gets very expensive. Tap water in Japan is the best i have tasted anywhere in the world.
The minerals in water or inorganic minerals as in rocks...not bioavailable so that doesn't matter. Add electrolytes or a little Redmond's salt if that bothers you. Distilled water helps sweep out inorganic minerals from the body due to its ionic charge
I've heard a compelling explanation of why a UV light does nothing as a part of an air circulation system. I'd want to see / hear test results on the effectiveness when applied to water before being convinced I should have it for water treatment. Maybe it's to keep the spout sterilized?
Actually this doesn't make sense. The body uses active transport to keep ion gradients (sodium outside the cells and potassium inside). Water typically does the moving through osmosis. So when you drink dilute water, it actually enters your cells because it is trying to equalize the osmolarity. Meaning: drinking water free of solutes actually will ensure your cells more easily take up intravascular water.
He conveniently forgot to mention some filtered water companies recommend 12 months or 2000Litres until replacement, Whichever comes FIRST! This guy may have filtered through 10000Litres in the dirtiest of dirty in 3months. Where he should have replaced it another 4 more times if this was the case.
if im gonna buy a filter, i will buy it only for making tea, because it will taste better with less mineral, i add charcoal for my drinking water, it absorbs chlorine and adds some minerals
Spring water is not an over arching source of 'pure' water,as each spring will be different. The problem with spring water nowadays,is that they may be even more contaminated with pesticides than tap water, particularly TCE and PCE,which are both known to cause Parkinsons and Dementia. If you drink spring water, you need to check for these contaminants. My solution: I use tap water, filtered with a ceramic pot,and treated with colloidal silver. You can find how to do this on YT. Best wishes.
I have a similar RO-DI unit set up in my kitchen but the filters look extremely clean when I change them out. However, I definitely noticed the obvious weight differences and always wondered what the heck that was about!
The spring water you have brought in is also filled & stored in those 5 gallon plastic bottles. Are you aware of what plastic does to water. Also those machines have little silicone tubes that suck the water up to be dispensed aren’t the most hygienic either considering they’re always wet. What’s your take on that????
Im using filters almost everywhere. My shower, my washbasin and kitchen basin. Good quality ones which is made in Korea or Japan. Dont ever2 buy those made in china. I nvr drink filtered water straight frm it. I will boil, let it cool and drink. Thats actually the safest. So far so gd to me.👍🏻🤓

99% of water bottle companies just filter city water and remove all minerals from it. Real spring water has a different taste and has tons of mineral in it. Reverse Osmosis is the best way to purify your water.
Our water in Savannah is disgusting. We have sludge that builds up in our tap, our toilets and our drains. A water filter is a must and not just for drinking. Do you want to shower or wash your clothes or run your dishwasher without a whole house water filter? This guy would think twice about his 5-gallon jugs.
I always hear the whole "distilled and ro will strip your body of minerals and nutrients" bit, but I have yet to read any hard data on this, it simply doesn't exist as far as I can tell
That’s what they say. There’s mixed POV. I’ve also read that distilled water only pull inorganic minerals from the body that can’t be used because distilled water is negatively charged and inorganic crap is positively charged 🤷🏾♀️ I just know that I feel fine when I drink distilled and I eat enough fruit, veggies, sprouts, and micro greens to get all the minerals I need
So my place of employment has installed a water purification system. I drank 3 liters 2 days in a row. Although I felt good I woke up with a hellacious cramp in my calve muscle. Better off drinking 2.5 liters of that water and .5 of an electrolyte based water.
Tap water almost doesn't have minerals. Plastic bottles have softeners...even in spring waters. Reverse osmosis filters have often at the end a mineral cartridge and even if it wouldn't, then the intelligence of the tissue would never allow the body to loose minerals if the water has been filtered from everything.
Our water, for which we pay one of the highest prices in Texas, is so bad that if I give it to my cats they start puking all over the house. It leaves dirt and sand in the bathtub. We an tell when the inspector is coming because the smell of bleach will knock you over. The worse part is we cannot have a reverse osmosis unit because the filters are fouled. In a couple of weeks and the water pressure is so inconsistent that it messes up the unit. There are 5 people in my household, that's a lot of drinking water.

There are lots of reports of city water with bacteria remaining after treatment and in the supply tanks or even from older water tower tanks for holding water. Many are vented so just what could easily get inside the tank?
Do you pull your drinking water from a septic system… I’ve never had a filter get that bad in my life… we don’t get all our minerals from water if we did have the human race would be dead since most don’t drink straight water
Any good RO filter system also has a mineral cartridge as the final stage this puts all the minerals back into the water you drink, maybe your system is a bit old and should be replaced with a modern system
The reason why I use a filter is a lot of reasons but one of the main ones was when I was a kid back in 1973 the news anchor goes when the water treatment plant screws up they don't always tell the public that means like maybe they use too much cleaner in the water and there you are drinking it yeah and then now he that some water is unfit for drinking that comes out of the tap
