BIG BAND LICKS & BRAINS IN LANTARENVENSTER ROTTERDAM
In this unique collaboration, American guitarist Robben Ford and the Dutch big band Licks & Brains share their passion to explore new musical paths without losing sight of the true emotion and inspiration. Both blues and jazz rock will be widely discussed in this concert. Compilations from Ford's album Pure (2021), arranged by Licks & Brains' band leader Rolf Delfos (Artvark Saxophone Quarte, Jazzinvaders) and his musical companion Erwin Hoorweg (Houdini's, Jazzinvaders).
Licks & Brains is an 18-piece soul/funk/jazz & groove big band led by Rolf Delfos, a leading alto saxophonist in the Dutch music scene that can be heard on more than 100 albums.
