Of course, cos neither both Kia and hyundai beat Subaru in term of features for $$$ if they showcase the Subaru Ascent Touring. Then all those features would already covered by Ascent,... And they have nothing much to talk about on Telluride/Palisades. They didn't mention about those standout features such as adaptive headlights, driver thigh seat extender, AWD standard, power folding mirror, auto dimming side and rear windows, digital rear mirror, more safety features and even easier oil change for those diyer. 19 cups holder (also as more storage), alert you when the front of the car in front of you move, higher ground clearance, turbo, standard roof rail, dual exhaust, programmable rear lift gate, and hill descent control with xmode. If people really need an honest or real review about those vehicles, go-to any of the user forum group instead.
I have to admit I was surprised by this review. When it comes to Telluride vs Palisade it seems like a decent review. Lots of good little points between the two and could be very helpful to someone only looking at those two vehicles. However, I really feel like the Ascent was poorly shown here. For both the Telluride and the Palisade it looks like you picked the top trim levels to show off, but for the Ascent you picked the base trim making it seem far less equipped. Now that would have been fine if you had gone over everything it could have if it was a comparable trim to the other two, but almost none of that information was provided. For example you said the Subaru has no power lift gate but did not say that it does on higher trims or when saying the Telluride has the most tow capacity when all but the base Ascent has the same tow rating. I am not saying you still may not have rated the cars the same at the end of the review but it just felt like a strange review.
@@vickysmith7644 I am 99% sure that - This is Hyundai/KIA exposition, Why else compare two sister company against competing class with $18000 deference? According to them, Subaru's top level trim is $3000 less. Prices were given @ 4:40, 5:00 and 8:05
You are comparing the Base model Ascent to higher than base model Palisade and Telluride. At least use a Limited ascent if you can’t find a Touring model.
Worst review video ever. The guy at the beginning just said everything the base ascent doesn’t have. Duh, it’s the base model. If you are doing a comparison, compare base model of all vehicles
This comparison has a low level Subaru Ascent contending with the highest trims for the Hyundai and Kia which doesn't do any service to your viewers. Please compare similar trims in your next comparison. Hyundai and Kia's lower trim is noticeably difference in how it "feels". Technology is also much more than just a big screen you seem to be gushing over! Keep it real and meaningful for your viewers - hopefully your next review will be better.
Easily the most biased and worst comparison video ever of a 3 row SUV. Why make a comparison video when u cannot be honest? Kia "almost" gets an IIHS top safety + rating .. "almost".. but Subaru has IIHS top safety + rating and you didn't even mention that.. shame!!
Wow atleast get the limited or touring trim for the Ascent. There’s a big difference between convenience with the upper two trims (limited and touring) for Ascent!
I had a chance to research and test drive all three vehicles. I feel your review didn't do the Subaru Ascent justice. You should have at least included the Limited trim for the Ascent. I love the Kia, but with all the dealer markups, it is probably not worth purchasing right now. As far as the Palisade, I am not sure I am willing to purchase a Hyundai, just yet, at lease not a year one Hyundai. I also loved the Ascent. At least dealers are willing to negotiate below MSRP. Getting back to the issue at hand, yes, like many other comments suggest, next time review comparable trims.
This is a garbage review...Your comparing two trims in the 50K and the Ascent easily sells for 29k. Compare the limited to them and it's night and day.
Sorry to repeat, but horrible comparison, the Ascent comes with a lot of standard equipment in the Premium level, including navigation and panoramic roof, things you can’t get without paying a lot more for the other two.
Yay Sami is back! Very well done comparison guys. Personally I'd go Palisade given the interior and bespoke exterior but can understand why someone would pick the more traditional looking Telluride. So happy neither of these have a cvt. Hell I'd take a Palisade over the new XT6
I was really looking for an honest review between comparable and equally trim-levels of these models, sadly this review doesn't even try to do that. Nice commercial for Kia and Hyundai, they are great vehicles; just wish they'd had the top-level Subaru to compare them to.
this is the first review where Pallisade was given an edge over the Telluride by what it seems wide margin. usually testers conclude that there is very little to no difference between the two in terms of ride quality or NVH.
We are Subaru and Honda people but ended up with the Palisade because our kids are older now (10 and up) and are not comfortable in the back it either of those. And that doesn’t depend on which model, the Ascent is just straight up more uncomfortable in that third row. Small window, less legroom.
So does the ascent ... they state 2000lbs on the base ... but as for every other comment here I agree with.. this is the base model, every trim up can tow 5000lbs also
Total lousy review. Are you kidding me. A base Ascent against the Telluride and Palisade. I’ve looked at all three, and drove them most recently and in fairness, what I saw was a $5000 difference more for the Telluride and Palisade over the Ascent. The Ascent fell behind mainly in tech and engine power, but size, quality, safety and overall build the Ascent was a pleasant surprise.
This is a really goofy comparison, as others have noted, showing a base versus two premiums. Kind of like using a Toyota Corolla as " basically" a Lexus ES.
The Ascent touring with the beige interiors and wooden trims would be a fairer competitor. The Subaru has a lot of value in terms of quality and durability which unfortunately the other two are yet to prove. I'd go for the Ascent any day only because it's a Subaru.
I'm in the market for a 3 row and will be getting an Ascent limited. I like the Kia and Hyundai's interiors and their looks but felt their drives were so boring and bulky. The Subaru still had good space but just drove so much better...
We bought the 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring for up to 6000 dollars less than the Hyundai Palisade limited and Kia Telluride SX. It was a no brainer and that Palisade/Telluride were not AWD.
john John palisade has an optional AWD and for people with children older than 4 or for people who plan to have this vehicle for a while, just know that older kids/teens are not comfortable in that backseat of the Ascent. We are Subaru and Honda people but had to switch to the Palisade because it is so much more open and comfortable for older kids.
