I'd like to see if the gears can actually multiply the torque. Maybe a really heavy creation using vanilla gas motors and test from there.

if you put a big cog connected to a small cog with a big cog on it, it does speed it up B=big S=small BS BS BS S this also works in Create, a mod for Minecraft

That is soo awesome! Just imagine a off road, all wheel drive buggy with that gear system and also one of those crazy suspension systems! That would be amazing. This is the first time I've actually wanted to buy this game....

you can do it vanilla easily but it would be huge and laggy you have blocks and pipe pieces you can do gears but actual gear makes much more easy thats why we use mods

I like how he disclaims that it's not exactly like a real transmission. The system he has doesn't allow lower gears to provide more torque than higher heads because they're all the same size. In a real car you wouldn't be able to start moving in 3rd, but you probably could in this truck he built. Still super cool and I wanna try it out for myself for sure!

I have heard some people call it a ball joint. But you are right it is a universal joint.

It's a same thing but the difference is when a ball join is spinning the part that are attached to it will not move

What would be really cool is if you made a working gearbox and put that on a car instead of the 3 gears always spinning. When I tried to make one I did and it was really fun but I didn’t have the time to put it on a creation

Moonbo vehicles do have gears in them. The transmission have gears in it. The drive shaft runs from the engine to gears that turn the wheels of a vehicle. The pistons of an engine transfer their power to a set of gears that turn the drive shaft, creating torque. Quick tip if you have a 4X4 vehicle and you are driving in mud or off road put it in 1st gear.

You should have mounted the drive shaft to the frame in front of both the cv joints, that way the whole drive shaft doesn’t shift sides when you shift gears

you can weld a small gear to a big gear and use a gear to spin the small gear now the big gear spins faster you can do that with multiple gears to multiply the speed

The first gear that spins have to be the big gear and the small gear is unpowered so it spins faster but you lose torque

The “ball joints” are more commenly called universal joints, this is because if you where to put a ball joint in a drive shaft (the long bar from gearbox to the differenchel, in this case the two gears ateched to the rear most wheels) the shaft would just spin. Ball joints have no rotational connectors in them. Otherwise you did a great job, thank ya for introducing me to a new gear mod, the mod pack doesn’t have them anymore:( ps I do know I’m horrible at spelling- plz go easy.

uuugh im going to try to make a dirt bike help me god edit im going to go with a 110 ssr because no clutch 3 gears still any higher cc would have a clutch and more conplex shifting such as 1 down 3 or 4 up instead of 3 up all the way down i could be wrong on the exact shifting patterns but thats the jiffy of it

@@astrohahawashere it isn't necessarily cheating from the games perspective, if you look he has done the same thing with his engine, look at the three drive gears and how they are stacked, but as far as the challenge goes, yes, that would be cheating.
