I’m a Tele guy and really enjoyed playing these pickups. They really take on the character of the amp and are worry free. No boom to the bottom end nor noise/wild overtones to the top end. You might say they lack character, but my old Ibanez RG did as well, but it sounded great live with pedals.
Just played these and you’re spot on. They did the SRV thing surprisingly well and on the bridge could pull off the lead ‘Gravity’ tone when I tested it on the Blackstar set to 4w to break up lightly.
