My favorite right now are t4 bearers and Ansina Hidden-Daggers. She has stats pretty close to the brute/ritualist/thugra and spawns in dafari camps. Watching a dancer melt the Red Mother is good fun.
Yeah i got those two. The bearers used to be bad and i name them some times to be funny and expect them to die. Well, "Bearer of bad news" it my top thrall. Liked that one so much got another. Found the dancer but i think I had a run in with the area champion .
I think I have got more health out of T3 Nordheimer etc bearers than named ones. I don't rely on them for damage but they are good for applying sunder or other effects with the right weapons.
Thanks for this, new-ish player here: confirmed some thoughts I had about stats on thralls once I started to study the wiki and what the stats meant. When I first started, I had picked up one of the named noob river thralls, Cira the Mad, who did ok with the gear i could put on her. Went to the Dafari camp by The Dregs and ran into a Cannibal Brute that one shot her. I spent the next hour working on knocking out this towering amazon with her hammer (I was only level 12 at the time), managed to get her tamed and she levelled so fast and was just a shop wrecker. I had to retire her and tame another one, as I had messed up the stat progression on her, thinking that Grit was what I was supposed to prioritize. While she's not gimped and can take a heck of a beating, the two I've tamed since and leveled up with more focus on strength and vitality hit very hard, but they're glass cannons that I have to manage. Zerks/Dalinsia's are tougher out of the box and over all are more survivable with the right leveling and some rerolling of perks, but Dafari level up noticeably faster. Treasure Seekers IMHO are relegated to zombie fodder, they level just as slow as Zerks/Dals but don't hit as hard or survive as well. Running Well Trained with a pack of zombies and some corrupted stats can be a lot of fun for a while, but otherwise I don't bother with taming them. Of note among the Dafari is Ansina Hidden Daggers, a T4 Dafari Performer with a 2.4 damage modifier for melee and ranged, higher than either a Zerk/Dal. Despite my efforts, she leveled up Agility a lot, so I went with it finding she makes great use of daggers, bows, and katanas (depending on your luck with legendaries) and does solid damage, with any of them. When she's running daggers and with her taunt on, she takes surprisingly little in the way of damage back flipping away, but it does get a little annoying having to chase down what's after her so I usually keep the katana on her, and when she's got a supply of dragonbone arrows she's a damn fine archer. She's my go-to for when I'm running anywhere I have to deal with constant corruption, and also levels really quickly compared to Lieaneele, my 2nd favorite performer who has a 1.6 damage modifier, but comes with 2549 health out of the box. The healing buff is also very useful, cutting down the need for bandages by a good bit.
Lol Ciria The Mad was one of my first T4 thralls I ever had on single player too 😂. But yeah those Brutes are crazy. With good armor they are definitely more tanky too. But yeah Dalinsia and Janos/Lian are probably a bit beefier, but also take longer to kill the target, so probably take comparable damage anyway. Ansina is really good, for sure! Haven’t been able to find a Lianeele yet though. Basically only one spawn location for dancers there now since they removed some of the NPC spawn locations.
very good video! ill defiantly be linking this to my thralling videos, if ya dont mind! I always liked Lian for his health chance. im a huge health over str thrall kinda girl. my favourite is t4 bearer and i do the fighting while they tank(with pots of rebirth I got on with 17k health). if were going base defense fodder, I go devotees as theyre close to Sepermeru lvl thralls at t3 or 4 (been a minute since I checked tbh) but they tame as fast as a t1. But in saying that, stuff tames so quick now. Keep up the good work!
Yeah that’s fine! And yeah bearers would be nice, but I pretty much never find them lol. For base defense, my clan usually buys thralls from Mek Kamoses, but now I think zombies would probably be the way to go since we don’t stay on servers long. We buy a bunch of junk thralls in Flotsam with gold coins and they make really solid zombies.
why thank you! i got a bearer vid im editing at the moment. i have very good luck usually finding them, except when i record ... haha. yeah thats a solid point with the Zombies. i used to buy shit thralls from there before mek and sometimes still to get a alchemist or dancer if im lazy haha,, but turning them shitty fighters into something more useful, well im shocked i didnt think to do that, i havent used zombies much tho tbh, maybe its time@@exiled_phoen1x174
And honestly zombies probably aren’t worth it for long-term servers since they only last 48 hours. But you can keep the thralls in a chest and summon zombies on demand lol
My lvl 20 Cannibal brute has an agility build, with my authority bonus and Musashi's black blade she can almost one shot a cimmerian berserker. at max level with the right build they hit like a proverbial truckload of bricks.
@@jamesbarnicks4863 Mine does fine. Just need to make sure they have good upgraded armor. the extra DPS tends to save them from getting too beat up. they do tend to do poorly if they are fighting multiple opponents tho.
@@jamesbarnicks4863according to this video they may start with low health, but they gain more per point of vitality than a berserker, so they can end up with decent health at level 20...
I have been playing the game since Feb of this year, never once have I used a thrall, I've been doing things on my own and either my buddies got the thralls, even then I never used em. Just today I got my first thrall, Freya, yes I did it for the name. No idea what she did or does but she's pretty cool and has my best armor because she was a lil hit of a B to get.
I mostly agree here, though the damage bonus stat that's shown to the player is completely irrelevant because it's additive for the purposes of damage calculation, whereas the hidden damage multiplier stat is as the name suggests multiplicative. Dalinsia is still a decent choice of warrior thrall though the cannibal brute is the best overall without mods that allow for recruitment of boss NPCs.
Yes but that strength damage percentage when changed to decimal is still multiplied by the weapon X the melee damage multiplier, so has a direct effect. If you double buff the thrall, that percentage goes up by 30%, naturally.
I had stopped farming tralls for a long time because i could just buy them. This is a good guild to get me back into it now that the merchants are gone
No problem. I guess it’s to differentiate fighters from archers, so the best archers actually do more ranged damage than the best fighters, and vice versa. BUT this update, all archers in specific factions actually have lower ranged damage multipliers now than fighters, so Imma have to do a rant video on that at some point lol.
A well deserved sub man keep doing vids like this! Super informative and clear with the nice little edits in there too, it’s a channel I’m looking forward to see grow 💪🏼
Not when you you take them to the Volcano fortress -_- They get stuck and stand there to be slayed. (dies pretty fast too unless you give them epic armor.) Emm. Dalinsia has inferior survival chance than Freya. Made me cry many times watching her get killed😅. Have you checked out Mei the Blade? She not bad in dmg.
That stinks :/. Yeah gotta give them good armor I think. My Brutes that have 4k plus HP haven’t died to anything yet. Going to try the arena champion next, probably with an authority build to start.
Yeah I’ve gotten Mei the blade before. Gotta check the hidden damage multipliers on Google though, I think hers is only 1.2. Brute is 3.12. Funcom seems to change thrall stats every update though lol.
So you probably couldn’t go wrong with just spamming Cannibal Brutes if you’re trying to get a good fighter. Considering how contested berserkers are on servers, and Snow Hunter is here and there on her spawning?
Yeah definitely. Though I’m pretty sure Brutes are getting nerfed next update. Just heard something about it. Dalinsia and Janos I believe will be purchasable again, as the vendors disappearing is a bug as far as I know.
So if im understanding lower fractions have higher growth chance but start extremely weak , while higher ones start stronger but balance out after maxing ?
Well kind of. The Cannibal Brute’s damage multiplier got halved several weeks after I made this vid. So now everything is a bit more balanced. Generally speaking, the higher the faction, the better the thrall, regardless of level. But it’s still not perfect, as volcano thralls are still worse than Cimmerians, even though they are more “end-game”.
@@exiled_phoen1x174 ok cool I figured it was quite low. I've been leveling a few and wanted to see what they could do. They are what you expect them to be. They level quickly, moderately powerful if you can call it that and easy to access. The potions make them even easier to build. Managed to get one to nearly 5 k health and with 40 agility.
Yes they will be nerfed. The best thralls will probably be Lian or Cimmerian Berserkers, unless they change something. I believe they are bringing back the Mek Kamoses vendors too, so you will be able to buy Dalinsia and Janos again. No worries, you’re good!
Just need to give them epic heavy armor and a Momentum, and they kill everything before they even take much damage. Obviously level them up a bit til they got like 2k HP before taking on anything too crazy. One of mine I rebirthed has 4600 HP.
Haven’t done the math on that, but probably pretty similar I would assume. But in this Chapter 3 update, Darfari got nerfed unfortunately. They’re still good but only have half the hidden damage multiplier.
Everything very interesting. I wonder if there's some Mods able to give all these stats beside the ones of the actual. I would like to see a full report for each thrall and maybe compare stats one to the other.
On PC I think there is a command you can run while the thrall is following you, to check it’s damage multiplier. Also you can look at the Wiki, but it doesn’t show you all the specific stats like in my video.
@@exiled_phoen1x174 Yes, GetFollowerStat for any stat. 🙂 You can also set in the same way. Whish to have a Mod giving this info and also the math you've proposed in the video, which is pretty useful 🙂
Yeah in my case my most tanky thrall is a tier 3 bearer from black galleon the i kept rerolling at lvl 20 with elixirs and he now has shy of 15k hit points
You dont say any thing aboute the T5 trhalls from purge x. I'am 100% They are stronge. Have not test them. But i do have some in my bace i wil lvl up and comper with Dalinsi and the berserk
@@kimovestre8845 they could be stronger now maybe. At the time, Cannibal brute was the absolute hardest hitting thrall, but they got nerfed recently. Now they only have half the damage multiplier. They used to destroy any world boss in seconds
Right now it’s Cannibal Brute or Thugra, both identical. You have to be careful at first leveling them because they are a bit squishy until tho yeah get more HP, but give them a Momentum or really any good mace and they hit hard.
@@exiled_phoen1x174 I usually start with Thugra his attack patterns are easy and has no-one around him so you don't need to worry about other thralls getting in the way
Hmm odd. Mine all seem to work fine. Melt everything pretty quick. Even brought one into the Wine Cellar without an Authority build and it survived the final boss quite well.
That's whut it's suppose to be like the meta always make the weaker look like nothing but a cosmetic item in comparison. Which is another reason for playing this game if you want to RP or just collect etc. Theres many ways how you can go about doing things in this game and thralls are one of them. That's also why you can delete your character when you finish freeing your current one and start fresh.
@@tegamingother yes very true, but Cannibal Brutes are literally a noob River NPC, not supposed to be top tier like NPC’s from some of the more difficult stages. I think that’s what we mean when we say it’s kinda broken.
@@exiled_phoen1x174 They made a mistake just like they did with the ancient pike damage was upped more than it should have been and now the damage is fixed. They will fix the Brutes damage soon as the new chapter aproaches.
this video should be called "how to show everyone your a full blown nerd, without saying your a full blown nerd", great upload...how do i know, because i did the math..lol
I never use tier 4 thralls unless their name is vague like Cimmerian berserkers, I never see myself sweating for best thralls in single player server on easy difficulty :V
I used to like using the relic hunters. Are they any good now or should I just focus on the canibal brutes. I'm just now getting back into the game and noticed a lot has changed. Thanks man.
