I have the 2018 JL and I honestly love the stock suspension. We decided to keep it and not switch it out. Gas, I get about 20 mpg. Set it on cruise, I get about 22 highway.

Lol I remember when I had mine, she never felt sturdy on the road especially when you hit higher speeds on the highway. Off road she was awesome on road not so much. But still miss her 😕

Ive been looking at alot of different cars lately, I've had a 94 2wd hilux for the last 12 years and have looked at Foresters , Delicas , utes of all kinds hiace vans, pajeros and land cruisers . I like the "idea",of the arangler so i really appreciate your objective look at the truck, its answered alot of my questions, so thanks ,. On mileage though i have a great tip, you see, i weigh in at around 65 kg at 175cm tall and i get Awesome mileage on my ute as you can imagine ! So All you have to do is eat alot more spinach , 50% less red meat and stuff and lose around 12kg ( bout 5 and a half pounds ) of each of those arms of yours and i guarantee you fuel usage will show a marked improvemet. !😁 lookin forward to more Wrangler stuff. First of all - thank you for your service! Just some quick comments about your video. Trying to push a box through the air is not aerodynamic and yes, I saw a decrease in mileage when going to 35s as well. I rode in a 2014 Wrangler that had been lifted and as a result almost didn't purchase a Jeep because the ride was so bad. (Rough Country=rough country) I did some research and learned that wheels, tires, suspension all come into play. I kept the factory wheel size, went with the AEV dual sport suspension and geometry correction brakets (which maintains factory engineering), 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Yeti steer smarts. The aforementioned was not cheap, but my Jeep rides smooth on the highway with no death wobble. I also handles corners very well. Drop your tire pressure when you take it offroad and that will make a huge difference in how rough the ride is. -Jeep Wave-

Nice build on your Jeep, Jeeps are made to go off road. Bluetooth is always touch and go in Jeeps and the wiring (even if it says plug and play) is always a pain in the ass. What part of AZ are you in? I am going to Tucson I have a few houses south of there I need to check into. -Jacked 2 Jeep

If there was infrastructure to support all electric everywhere and not just on the coasts or big citys but out in the Midwest farming country where you get lots of small towns and the nearest town with a charging port is sometime 1-200 miles away easy

I think I could get an all electric save in gas but also quick response on the pedal for those who like that. I'm in for the long cruises

I agree that gas mileage is not why one would get a Jeep. Yes, the suspension is stiff on the ling hauls even on the JL, but that’s not a deal breaker. I love my Jeep.

LOVE MY 2013 JK ................when everyone says my dream car is a BMW, Audi, Mercedes , Astin Martin (one of my favs) I wanted a Jeep Wrangler....so bucket list checked off...wouldn't trade it for the world...my bud got his JL after I left my Jackson with him for a week....picked me up from my trip I asked was he a Jeeper and said to me I'm getting one...that was Friday ...Monday he got Doc.....I've driven many cars all had their fine point and not so fine points.....my suspension isn't any worst than my buds luxury SUV in fact my boy's is way better...it's a Jeep no said it was supposed to be a luxury ride.....what it is...it's a CLASSIC (will never go out of style or badassery), COOL, great resale, quality vehicle.....that's my opinion.....no matter what you drive.....all I have to say is "use your effing signals" dang people LOL......

My 2019 JLUR gets 19mpg on 37s no lift. Hwy I average 21 mpg. I drove my YJ for 27 years because I never liked the TJ-JK. The JL is roomier than previous models. Just ordered 60/80 axles to run 42s with double down king coilover suspension.

Go to a smaller wheel on 35s and you will lose some of that rough ride... smooths out nicely with about a 17

I have not reviewed any previous comments but if you have not re-calibrated the computer to factor in the larger tires, your gas gauge is completely inaccurate. With 35's your actual speed vs. speedo speed is about 5 mph difference.

Bro!! If you put spacers of course it’s going to ride stiff . I have a 15 rubicon with everything Metalcloak it rides fine not stiff. As for gas mileage every Jeep gets garbage gas mileage. I have a boat that gets 3 miles to the gallon and when I fill it it’s 600 dollars to fill so gas on a Jeep NOOO PROBLEMO

Lol, if I had that grill, I'd hate my jeep too! Not sure why your gas mileage is so low. Is that combined? You are running 10ply tires with a 121 load rating on 20inch rims, that'll rattle your spine! Also, the 3 things you hate are what people should consider, but buying one is to accept those issues.

Electric Jeep? If it provides a good distance on charge(on and off road)and is sourced by materials in the US(ie not dealing with 3rd world despot nations and or the Chinese and Russians, I will be in on it.

Hi Dan your Jeep looks cool as fuck but 14mpg is not great, you said your Jeep is basic but that how jeeps are supposed to be , jeep standing for Just Enough Essential Parts thats what i was told anyway , kinda of makes sense i guess as jeeps were originally designed for the military

I am against the electric jeep (although i think the hybrid version will be more useful because i hate quiet big trucks and offroaders, they have to be loud) just because we still don't have a V8 powered wrangler. We would get 10mpg but at least some serious power and the ability to challenge G63 AMG and Toyota Land Cruiser V8.
