My 2004 has a lighter plug right behind where your phone mount is. I plug my cam in to that one and it even has a big pocket under it that the cord fits perfectly and clean.

My phone fits sideways in the cubby hole above the stereo. I can't see it sometimes though because of glare.

to be honest it’s connect to the car behind where the radio sits… it connects to an old iPod cord. that’s how the car came when I got it
