@just.bob.j Yes, it does 100% help with the pain. i don't think I could cope without them. When you first start taking them, you kinda have a blank mind like nothing is around you for 10-20 sec. But I don't know if that's everyone's experience but it was mine.
Hi, I started the Buprenophine patch for additional pain relief along with Tramodal. I had to stop after 3.5 days for severe neck pain that started the 1st morning after I started. Nothing provided relief, not heat/ice or massage therapy. Why do I not see this in possible side effects? I am still waiting for the pain to subside.
itching for me was awful, and so they said to apply some type of spray, but I don't remember it. No problem with constipation or nausea. It is very effective. I used the pills for years and it started to burn under my tongue and it seriously did burn that top layer, it's bitter and then I'm now 71, and it started about 2 years ago, and it ruined my teeth, yes the medication got in and ruined my teeth. It also causes depression, it's true, after so many years, and my Paxil doesn't help, but I can't taper off. So I'm let trying another anti-depressant which makes me sleepy. I'm convinced that after 12 years this substance depresses me, but I can't taper off, I'd need a lot of money and a lot of TLC and a good doctor, so that won't happen. I also had 2 different times when a specific co. gave me defective patches, and I started going through withdrawl, the doctor didn't me, neither did the pharmacy, however I called the manufacturer and they did, both times. And gave me a box of free patches, after that I got that mail ordered and no problem with this brand.
I'm sorry to hear about your teeth. That's terrible. My doctor wanted to prescribe the sublingual but I refused. I had the suboxone sublinguals in the past and the taste made me sick. I hate naloxone. So she prescribed the patch and started me on 5 mg. I applied it 24 hours ago and I can't tell if it's doing anything. The only thing that really works well is oxycodone. But now all we get are those crappy generics from India or Canada and only 60 mg. maximum per day. Plus, the government allows the manufacturers to put in up to 2% less of the active ingredient. These stupid opioid lawsuits have destroyed pain management for those of us who really need it. I'm 76. I'm in constant pain from osteoarthritis in every joint of my body. All these minimal amounts of drugs do is take the edge off for a couple of hours. I hope you are managing and were able to get your teeth fixed.
I was on 15% butran patch 3 days into it I landed in the er with severe high blood pressure due to pain had iv deloudid and tegretol it worked. So I’d have to say patches didn’t help at all in my case .i now take 4 hydrocodone per day. It’s better than nothing and now the DEA wants to cut me back to 30mg per day WHY is my question.
At least in my area the patch is not used anymore and has been replaced buy Suboxone a Buprenorphine+ nalaxone combination which usually comes in a 2 or 8 mg sublingual film but they are trying to replace the current film with a weekly or monthly long acting slow release subcutaneous injection which cannot be misused as it's administered buy professionals only
That stinks. So does that sublingual suboxone. Naloxone is a horrible drug. I hate what all the stupid lawsuits and the even stupider government regulations have done to pain management care. Those of us in actual debilitating pain just have to suffer because of a bunch of idiots.
The patch is for chronic pain, not addiction. Suboxone with naloxone orally is used for addiction. The naloxone doesn’t metabolize orally, but it does when you snort it, so it keeps people from abusing it by snorting it. Taking orally isn’t going your way get people high.
