I've been a certified diver since 1970 and was an instructor at one time. Sharks aren't a problem unless your spear fishing with your catch attached to your body. in that case we call you bait. Enjoy your videos and glad to see you practice to get better.

By the way, I LOVE SCUBA diving too, but I lost my dive partner probably about 33 years ago now, and my wife is claustrophobic, so I haven't been diving in a long time. Such is life. Doodle, if you're ever in Southern California don't miss out in diving the Channel Islands. I have dived in some exotic spots. Grand Cayman, Cozumel, but as beautiful as those reefs are, nothing was more exciting for me as the giant kelp beds around the Channel Islands. Also there's some caves depending which islands you go to. I did see some sharks but mostly boring reef sharks. One time, as we were dropping anchor over a dive spot a pod of Orca swam by. I didn't see them in the water during the dive and was more than fine with that. They have huge mouths.

My wife is Puerto Rican and we have lots of Dominican friends, as well as spent our honeymoon there. Your fact #3 was quite a surprise for me! Side note: out of the few countries I've visited in Latin America (6), DR is still by far my favorite. Hopefully you still get a chance to visit.

I'm in Love!

I love scuba diving too! I just dove a bunch of Cenotes in the Yucatan and some artificial reefs off the coast of Sarasota Florida. I can't stop diving and I may like it more than riding.....wait... did I just say that 😳

I went to Dominica, horse riding on the beach, helped the staff pick fresh fruit, went on a lift up a steep mountain, loved it! 🙂👍🏽

I have 5000+ dives mainly cave diving :) i recommend to you Bulls Shark feeding in Playa Del Carmen, i was a dive instructor for a year at Club Med in Punta Cana :) when i was 18 yrs old .....now i fly to D.R often as a Airline pilot ....life is adventure

Carolyn, I just watched your video on why people go to Sturgis, and I must concur to your findings. I have been to every Rally since 1973 because I moved to Rapid City in 1973. Most people here during the Rally don't respect these roads, and that is a costly mistake.
