I got my first Wallies the other week, size was off, I wear 42, 42.5 european, but these were 41, so yeah, mate, you nailed it..still waiting for the rain to pass to be able to wear them) nice vid though, bigup
@@ericvaldezcastellanos Yes, they were a cool shoe for students to wear back then. I bet they are once again too! I just received a pair of Clark's Bushacre desert boots, I like them too.
Owner of many Clark’s shoes throughout my life, and also many pairs of the Wallabees. In my experience, these shoes fit true to your size. If you’re a 10 grab a 10.
Can't agree, sry. I also had an have some pairs of various models of Clarks (not Wallabee), and their sizing is an absolute mess. In many cases it doesn't match the same size used by other manufacturers and even the older Clarks. They are usually a bit smaller now. And a half size+ is a bit bigger lol. Although a 10 year old pair is just right, exact size. And I've seen quite many defects lately (maybe that is just the local store, hope it's not the change of the company owner).
Good advice. I just got my first pair (same ones in this video) and I had the same experience. I too usually wear a 10.5 or 11, and I went with 10.5 for the Wallabees. They don't fit me like clown shoes or anything, but I could have easily gotten by with a size 10. At least I know now for future purchases. 👍
That is very true, I was sitting back and reflecting on this purchase. I know from now on I will size down because they don’t fit very loose but I would much rather want a more tight shoe in this case! Thank you for the honest review!
@@ericvaldezcastellanos suede always gives in footwear so better to go down half a size if possible i have a load of Wallabees and Weavers in suede and leather desert boots too are pretty wide fitting
Me too! Lol I've been wanting to get these shoes for years because of Heisenberg! I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan. But now I'm really conflicted about what size to order so hopefully, I'll choose right!
Are these maple suede the same colorway they're using for maple suede? The soles on these look darker while the current versions are lighter. I prefer the ones you have.
Clarks overall has dramatically dropped in quality since I started wearing these in the late 90s. Back then, they were still made in UK (Ireland). Bought another pair last year and these "made in China" Wallabees are a pale copy of the original. Crepe sole is coming apart. New heal pad under the inner liner is just awkward.
@@lionjungle7791 haha it's all love bro. May the walkable unite us all. But Come to think of it I hardly ever see the Wallabee in Florida. Actually I've never seen it. And Florida has a lotttttt of Hispanics. I did go to the Clark's store and there was another black guy there. I bought two and he bought like 6 pairs😂
@@JamaicanMeCrazy i know that its the same thing in L.A . I think most hispanics like more the traditional moccasin. In LA is the Nike Cortes the preferred shoe for hispanics, and ofcourse the adidas supperstar and Chuck tailors
@@Eugenetra7 id say the hard rubber lasts a little longer but not enough to not buy the crepe sole version. There are down sides to crepe. Its a true natural rubber so the bottoms will stain from walking around but imo the trade off is worth it. The comfort is similar to a adidas boost material. Not to mention any cobbler can resole wallabees with new crepe for pretty cheap anyway.
@@Eugenetra7 you wont be disappointed. Ive been wearing these since i was a kid. When i was in high school in the mid 90s they had a resurgence. The leather is always good quality and they are worth the money imo.
@@MuhButtsBeenWiped, crepe rubber is nice. However your statement "any cobbler can resole wallabees" is not exactly correct. Most cobblers will refuse to resole wallabees- not because they don't have the ability to do so but because it's such a pain in the butt. Wallabees are made of a single layer midsole and the rubber outsole is heat-and-glue-attached. It takes the nerves of steel to remove the used outsole. And sanding down the rubber outsoles *will* mess up the cobbler's sander-polisher! (I am a shoemaker)
we wear them just for swag when they get damage bruh we rocking another pair I loved these from like forever but we do wear them for wrong settings that's all cause the cheese bottom will run down or damage before you damage top
how did you get the one with a different colored sole? only ones I can find are basically all same color all around, but I'm trying to find one with a darker sole
Bro how many wear did it take for the soles to break in? eventually, does it like somewhat mold to your foot shape ? I own a pair but haven’t worn much 😭
Yeah they haven’t held up the best to be honest. I still like them for the look but the material is nice but hard to maintain. Still a comfortable shoe.
There not a German design ,they were developed in Ireland by Nathan Clark, and became popular in the British Isles. That's why they're so popular in Jamaica, the Jamaicans were colonized by the British. Peace ✌ from Germany 🇩🇪
Although Nathan Clark did develop this shoe, the upper shoe is a German Moccasin design. I have various sites stating so. Would love to share them if you wish! All love brother! ❤️🙏🏽
