Please I'm very sorry to comment here but I have to ask this I have a RU-vid channel like your but anytime I post a trailer video it's under a copyright claim I don't know how to stop it I'm just asking are you going through the same thing or if you have some good solution please am all ears please
I spent 31 years, 7 months and 8 days in the U.S. Army. I wanted to be a pilot because the movie TopGun changed my life, or the way I looked at life anyway. I spent my last 22 years of service as a helicopter pilot, fought in 3 wars, 4 Air Medals, 1,390 combat hours. I’m older now, my glory days have been modified and most don’t know anything about my past. When I see any TopGun and now Maverick clip I just smile and my eyes water up. I’ll never again be that hungry kid that gave everything he had to make it, but I was a soldier once.
Alas, a loss for the Navy! (Aviation Structural Mechanic here; proud Golden Swordsman) A P-3C Orion isn't QUITE as sexy as an F-14? But it's the Girl - not the bird. Fair Winds and Following Seas from one Cold War Vet to another. ⚓✈️🚁
To do their mission, at his age, in nearly half the time they were failing at and on the first try. Hangman's "Damn" was just perfect. Even he, the guy with an ego the size of the moon, could not deny Maverick was the best of the best.
except when he played Jack Reacher lol. I liked his Jack Reacher movies but pretty much everyone else hated him as Jack Reacher just because he was too short for the role even tho that didn't really take away anything from the stories and plots and were well made movies.
This movie was on target from the beginning to end. Brilliant casting and musical score, and if Hollywood has any brains should get a few Oscar nods. Well done Tom!!!
It was incredible just watching the faces of not just the students who thought they were "the best of the best", wondering since they thought that was the case, "Who's gonna teach us ?". Just watching the progression of the facial expressions of Hangman, going from "Yeah, Mav can't pull this off", to that dumbfounded look as Mav does it, all the way to that simple "Damn". Say hello to Daddy boys and girls, and get ready to get schooled (and do 200 pushups) 🤣🤣🤣 Tom Cruise NEVER disappoints an audience. How this didn't take an Oscar is mind blowing. They re-opened a 30 year old story, and exceeded all expectations. 🇺🇸✌️
I am really sorry that this movie did not win a 'best picture' award at the oscars. After the pandemic and all the doom and gloom in the world today it was a real tonic. It brought people back to the cinemas and you forgot about the doom and gloom. Tom Cruise was superb as usual, the music and the stunts were magnificent. I went to see it twice, went out and bought the soundtrack and have got the DVD - well done Tom you are an asset to the movie industry and a lovely person off the screen as well as on - looking forward to Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning.
Well it looks to me like the movie awards industry just joined up with the Nobel peace prize program to becoming just a blue tablet you drop in your toilet to make S water look nice.
This was hands down one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. The elements used from the first film in combination with action scenes like this. The entire movie was like a symphony being played.
This movie really gets to me and so does the first one because now I am Navy Veteran I remember being on the flight deck being in the last A=6 squadron the Carrier was the Carl Vinson VF 11 and VF - 14
Don't natter how meany of these fantastic clips I watch. My fav is when Mav walks into that Cafe and ask where I'm I ' and that little boy says earth. It's priceless 😂😂❤
In 1986 I was 15 years old, (Born and Raised in a Communist County and being blown away from a Movie about the US Navy Top Gun Pilots during the Cold War which was like a Big Taboo at the Time!) and now after I have waited 36 years of my life(now 51)and residing in the UK 🇬🇧 I SIMPLY COULDN'T Get ENOUGH of The TOP GUN MAVERICK, so I watched it 4 times in the cinemas( I took my 18 years old Son, my 73 years old Mum too) , but the Icing on the cake was in THE BFI I- MAX, London where I WAS BLOWN AWAY AGAIN(even though I've already seen it 3 times) 💥🤯 by THIS MASTERPIECE Of a MOVIE. The Massive Screen and the AWESOME Sound I felt like I was there in the action myself. 🤘🇺🇸🇬🇧❤️ I have Cried in every single visit including during this video and I will be Damn if it Doesn't Get Recognised in the coming Oscars in 2023. Always been a Big Fan of Tom Cruise, He is a LEGEND!!!! Love and Piece to Everyone in the WORLD. IT IS A MUST SEE MOVIE. THE BEST ONE Not Only in 2022, but in Years. 🥇⚡💥❤️
I’ve never seen a movie so many times in the theatre. I just kept going back, couldn’t get enough. Nothing like seeing this one on the big screen! One of the best movies of my lifetime hands down. 💫
Im Japanese old person, speak a little English....but I remembered all scenes and talking because I watched this for 18 times in theater 40 times more in my house...and every time I had tears....the best movie in my life
I love Warlock's character. He's an old timer like Maverick but hung up his wings for promotions. He did however fly at the same time as Maverick wrote his legend, and you can tell Warlock has a hell of a lot of respect for Maverick's abilities and is very curious to see if the man lives up to the legend up close. Maverick is reminding him of his cock-sure pilot days, riding his plane and his rank on the edge. You can see it in Warlock's eyes as Maverick does the training run, he's living it in his own head as a pilot, living vicariously through Maverick. No doubt he wished he was his younger self again in that moment, for the chance to fly the mission, to be part of The Legend, not just on the sidelines watching it happen in real time. But, he's mature and seasoned enough to not let that get the better of him, so he is just happy to see Maverick doing his thing and providing what support he can from where he is. A Top Gun: Warlock film would be a wonderful expansion on this universe, especially if Tom Cruise has creative control. I can absolutely see a scene where one of Warlock's superiors tells him "They're called Orders, Warlock" after he pulls some attitude over what he thinks is a shitty reassignment.
The original Top Gun film made me buy a brand new Peugeot 405 car back in the very early 90's! how crazy was that 😂 There were two good reasons...1 I loved the film. 2 I loved the song by Berlin ''Take My Breath Away''.....As for the car, it was great. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xIksIfZ9ik4.html&ab_channel=Past-TimeAds
If he does, it's going to be for FX and maybe an Actor nod (but not the actual award). The Academy like their weepies, that's why Very Serious character dramas are referred to as "Award Bait."
I bet Cyclone understands now why Iceman sees in Maverick that others don't and why he's a asset to the Navy why he's still the best fighter pilot in the Navy. Before any says it, yes I know it's a movie.
What makes Maverick such a good officer is that he's a maverick: he's always thinking outside the box of rigid military mentality. When I was a young Ensign onboard a DDG as the Strike Warfare Officer, I had a Senior Chief that was much the same way, always putting the men and outcomes before procedure. He taught me that the easiest way to follow orders and accomplish the mission was to simply take care of the guys in the Division and trust in them. With his assistance as well as all of the guys in the Division, including my other Senior Chief, we built the best Strike Warfare team in the Battlegroup and were designated as the lead shooter ("Greyhound") and the Joint Task Group theater control ship ("Bravo Bravo"). It put a lot of stress on the team during deployment, and we worked some really long days, but they never failed to make me proud. It was one of the best jobs I've had in my life. Things move at a much slower pace for me now, and I'm grateful for that, but I still look back on those days fondly. I'm still using those lessons that my Senior Chief taught me, some 20 years later.
I like the idea that Bob knew it was possible the whole time, he just didn't see HOW. Boy's a walking computer, probably knows every in and out of that bird that there is to know, probably has that entire manual Mav chucked memorized from cover to cover, knows every variable, knows every outcome. The only thing he Can't put his computer brain to work on is the pilot he flies with. He knows it can be done, but the one thing he can't math away is human error.
@@Highlander055 Talk to any real pilot, they'll tell you a whole different story. They don't know a damn thing about how the hyds are connected, hell, half of them couldn't figure out how to start the engine on one of those damn things without a hand hold, and half the time they won't remember to arm the ejectors, or arm their weapons, because it's someone else's job to pull those pins.
@@Highlander055 That don't make them top gun grads. Top Gun is just a school to learn how to employ the jet in a combat situation and better survival odds. You learn the NATOPS manual in flight training. That's if you track select fighters in the Navy and don't get the F35.
Ive seen cruise in alot of movies but only in a very select few do you ever see him smile and embrace the purity of a smartass like hes able to in these 2 movies it adds a lil something special to them
And three times he would have been court martialed and dishonorably discharged. But still my second all-time favorite movie. The original being my number one!
the first one was a political move by an ass Admiral. second he is doign a mission tryign to keep pilots alive. and frankly another ass admiral that didn't like him from the get go. The last doesn';t count at all
Realistically, he would have run the course to show them it could be done at the start of training so they could learn from his example and replicate it.
When the movie started in cinema and the first bong kicked in… damn! What a feeling! I’ve grown up With my older borther Telling me when he saw the first one in 86! This movie is what i Will talk To my kids about, how i went to see it back in the summer of 2022.
It must be professionally gratifying to work on a movie with Cruise. It's obvious from the result that the only standard accepted and expected from his projects is Excellence. To be involved in something that would push you to be the best you can be and be surrounded by others of the same caliber and desire would be a memory and accomplishment one would treasure for their lifetime.
Tomorrow it’s the Oscar ceremony. Of course I’d Love Top gun wins Best Picture, We know the academy will give it to some unknown strange film. In my heart this is best picture of the year and the one that save the movies at pandemic.
That "radio noise" is great gig reminding me Spies Like Us movie when Chevy Chase was giving that press interview. I love these little funny parts about new Top Gun.
"You've got some balls, stick jockey, I'll give you that." This would be what I call a perfect example of "showing respect when respect is due". He may not have liked him but massive balls are still massive balls.
I’m convinced the Darkstar plane in the movie isn’t just a mock up for the cameras. Lockheed has a history of revealing “impossible” aircraft while the *real* state of the art remains a secret. I’m betting the plane we saw is damn close to the rumored SR-72, if not an exact copy.
This guy was born for the rush- if not an actor am sure he would have been a tearaway Motorsports athlete or a fighter pilot. He's a real-world iteration of CRANK!
Maverick passed top gun in 1986 Cyclone Passed Top gun in 1988 despite being two years senior Maverick is a captain and cyclone is a Vice Admiral only because maverick does what ever he pleases and never gives a crap about the system. The callsign maverick indeed suits Captain Peter Mitchel perfectly
You know honestly I find top gun Maverick to be a way better film than the original Top Gun but obviously it wouldn't have existed if we didn't have the first Top Gun
TBH, how much 'off screen antics' has he done? Really? Jumping on a couch is about it. Yes, he's a member of the Church of Scientology, but he doesn't push it. Every time I see him in any talk shows etc he is a perfect gentleman. I just don't get the hate, I really don't.
I just noticed the exhaust vents on the Super Hornet at 3:46 right by the back end of the cock pit ... I remember that design change and going up to Le Moore to watch them being installed. It was concerning because they protruded beyond the OML of the plane so we were thinking it would compromise the radar signature. The Super Hornet isn't the most stealthy aircraft but it definitely had quite a bit of stealth technology incorporated into the design.
One of the BEST movies EVER hands down! Everything about it is so awesome! I love all of it! One of my absolute favorites!!!! So glad I have it on DVD!! ❤❤❤🥰🙌🏻
It's a brilliant movie but I find it questionable that Maverick would have even survived when the super duper sonic busting aircraft disintegrated, but hey it's only a film and not real, still makes me chuckle when the little kid says ''Earth''
Why he shouldnt survived? Here Bernie "Hondo" Coleman is everywhere! Even at the carriers control room! (when not outside at the flight deck giving orders). He must have, not only a gazilion specializations in his curiculum but his ''ungle'' must be the president. Reply
@@Revkor Yep there's footage of the nose of Challenger coming down, sad day and I remember it well, doing some form of escape pod on a big aircraft would have serious weight issues on the nose.
