Omgosh, thank you guys so much for putting this video of us on your channel as I didn't realize how much I had forgotten from being in the class! You guys are wonderful, and it was so out of my comfort zone to do it, but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. You two are the most comfortable people to be around, and this class was well worth every hard penny! ❤ you guys!!!

On my planet, birds can be up to fifteen feet tall. These videos help tremendously in learning the psychology of our bird overlords

I learn so much on your bird class videos. I know how important it is to click at the moment of success, a picture of the behavior I want. I didn't think about making sure I continue with the exact timing. I'm pretty sure I have become sloppy and have some cleaning up to do.

thats hilarous the woman in the back ground " bird ppl we have faster reactions" i've also noticed how much faster i move when visiting a rescue, omg u guys i'm collection a female b&g i cant take her my husband died 8 weeks ago and his voice of reason was screaming at me , you cant have this bird, till i seen her that went quite, i'd never sleep again if left her there ...i dont even want to say to much but know i'm about to take her out of 18 years of a bad bad situation, it's heartbreaking i'll have no trouble finding her a home within the perfict situation so sad

You're analogy of the dog using physical cues isn't exactly correct. They learn initially and can take physical cues, however Your dog will sit down if you turn around and tell him, if properly trained. I assume parrots are mainly physical though, I admittedly just got my first macaw. But have trained dogs for years. I bring him home next week, we will be using your baby bird course to start him off right. Love the videos!

I'm a working dog trainer and Ryan it is NOTHING like training a dog. The only similarities is the four quadrants of operant conditioning and with birds you literally only use positive reinforcement. Any decent bird trainer will tell you we never punish the bird. I have just purchased a hahns macaw (well more so rescue) he was kept in a garage for the first year of his life. His wings are obliterated (clipped off) so he cannot even fly. He hates hands for this reason (being grabbed and being clipped) and he's a biter. I've done conditioning in the clicker he's target training currently but I've only had him two weeks. None of the methods of dog training apply in terms of the other quadrants. We don't and can't punish the bird for undesirable behaviour. It's a test of patience and your ability. I'm one hell of a dog trainer. But this bird in particular has put me in my place. For reference I've got 2 love birds three budgies and have free flight trained them. My love birds fetch a rattan ball from anywhere in the house and bring it back to my hand. And dunk the ball in a mini basketball hoop they're wonderful. But this big guy is a task on his own.

Y’all’s tank for the ball python is too small.. since y’all are so into educating people on birds you should’ve done some research on the poor snake. Also aspen bedding is bad for ball pythons 😢 I’m commenting here since y’all are the parents and y’all are responsible to make the change for your snake and to help teach your kiddo 😢

Not sure what python you are talking about, (havent watched the whole video) but I can see that they are at Snake Discovery's place in this video so could be a short term thing.

@@claragreenfield6317e talking about a different video from a different birdtricks channel for kids, I don’t know if anyone is right or wrong, I know nothing about snake care. but I wanted to remind that this is their first snake, it seems like they’re being assisted by snake people that are pretty popular (idk if they’re assisted correctly or not ) so I bet they have a long way to learn as they’re gaining more experience and knowledge they’ll probably make some mistakes like anybody tend to do with exotic animals (lets hope not major ones) - I feel and hope like they might pay extra attention to learn doing snake stuff correctly, since they come from the parrot world they are pretty aware that people tend to unintentionally mistreat exotic pets and that they take a lot of extra care, intentional attention and study in order to have a decent wellbeing in human care. if I am understanding it correctly, they’re investing in a set up snake enrichment for their snake to hang out in while outside of her tank, so this might provide exercise and extra needed space for the snake to exercise and feel spacey and comfortable (and it might also not be enough, I don’t know about snakes). I want to tell you it is heartwarming that you care enough to inform about proper snake care, make sure to be kind and aware that exotic animals are not easy for well meaning humans to care for right a way, so it is important to be kind so people are actually receptive to new information.

@@claragreenfield6317 They're probably referring to the ball python they got for Capri. You can see the video where they get the python on birdtrickskids and they do keep that poor python in a terrible set up
