It was a cold, but sunny winter day on Norfolk Southern's famed 'West Slope', and we arrived at Lilly, PA around 10am. No sooner had we pulled up, we saw two eastbound trains approaching our location, and scrambled to get our gear setup. We knew there was a westbound approaching as well, and as the two eastbounds were drag racing on Mains 1 & 3 to the summit, the westbound cruised downgrade between them on Main 2.
A perfect opportunity to put the drone to good use here, with great aerial footage showing all three trains moving past us at once!
