I feel sorry for the daughter in story 3. Her mother is so timid and lacking in even minimal assertiveness that the daughter can’t ever feel safe with her. That mother needs help in recognizing and establishing proper boundaries and boosting her self confidence. Otherwise she’ll be an easy target for all kinds of creepy or dangerous people.

Story 3, oh my goodness woman don't let anybody just walk in the place you're staying and make themselves at home without your permission. The last guy that tried that with me got his arm twisted behind his back grabbed around his neck and introduced to the door!. If you don't believe for one second that you're capable of fending for yourself or your children, get some self-defense classes or get you something to defend yourself with. Because seriously!!

Story 2. You shouldn't have driven all the way back to town. You should have looked around first. Then you would have seen the footprints and known by the direction if they were in the cabin or not . If not you could have called from the cabin. The heater? A pinecone? Investigate before jumping to conclusions.

On story one, who would wanna spend more time with their coworkers? when they could just take those two weeks and spend it with their loved ones, I wouldn’t have went
