I've had 3 Rolexes, and I was completely underwhelmed by each one. I sold them all and will not waste my time trying to love the brand any more. There are far more interesting watches at every price point.

I once waited on Jacque Cousteau. It was the mid-1970's. And I was working in a "HiFi Shop" in Mid-Town Manhattan. Cousteau wanted a 4 Channel Reciever. But They were ALL Monsters. I even showed Him a Products DIRECTORY Issue of AUDIO MAGAZINE; which showed All the Brands.. NONE would fit the space allocated on the "Calypso" .... oh well. He was very pleasant & affable, with a Big Smile .... Nice Man.
Just got my first Doxa last week, the Doxa Army! Absolutely love the watch, the brand, the history behind this particular model, etc... everything about it is fantastic and I honestly feel like I connect to this watch more than any watch I've owned before.

Totally agree with your thoughts and its just sometimes nice to purchase a watch because you like, forget specs, brands and just buy what younlike once in a while... love your content btw and your videos always pop up when you upload right away... I dont even have to think of pressing the like button it's just something I do with my soul 😊

I liked the 300T Doxa so much I bought the 1200T Doxa that I found used. I also love the 600T Caribbean and wear that watch on a rubber strap. Great video and watch choices!

My favorite watch right now is my Citizen Orca. When I first came across the watch a few years ago I thought it was hideous. Now it just has so much charm and I look forward to wearing it every chance I get.
@@BraveBeaters ok, after watching your videos about Doxa, I'm definitely on the hunt for a 300T! So it's easy for the model, because for me it's the most iconic in their catalogue. But now the problem is the color. The easy choice would be the orange, but I already own an orange diver. Same for the black Sharkhunter, because I have a Squale 1521. So, at the end, for my taste the match is between the blue Caribbean, maybe too classic, the yellow Divingstar, maybe too much in the long term, the Aquamarine, probably the right mix between fun and wearability and last the Whitepearl. Waiting to see them in person, Andrei what would you suggest ? Thank you and keep going with the great job your doing on the channel for all us watch maniacs!

i have the 600T white pearl and it has really grown on me !! to be worn always on holiday on the rubber strap its a killer look i always get asked what it is just shows the design is different enough to get noticed

I had a blue Sub 300 in stainless steel but found the bezel markings hard to read underwater so I sold it. Otherwise a very nice and comfortable watch, good finishing, COSC movement and actually OK value for what it is. I am intrigued by the carbon Sub 300 because the markings are in white and actually legible, and what I need to decide is whether to go with blue or orange dial. Great video, as always!
Growing up watching National Geographic Specials with Jacques Cousteau to me the Doxa 300T Orange Dial is iconic and someday that will be in my collection unless I find one with the US Diver Co Logo on it 🤔 a historical watch tells a good story 😎
I couldnt work out what ,who was the " dogs arse" but then i have no Italian at all and this mans English is very good,in fact has improved so,so much ,Great channel .must say,after watching again i cant hear "dogs arse" ,think its only on one spacific sentance halfway through .
Great look at Doxa - authentic brand that merits recognition. I think it's good to sell Rolex for all the logical reasons and buy with your soul. Perfection, investment, famous name...they mean nothing if you don't feel an emotional connection with your watch. These aren't necessities so let's just enjoy them, each to their own. I love the designs and the heritage but Doxa is a phoenix brand and I'm not convinced they own the history just yet. I have had various models in hand and always felt they were not quite up to the asking prices. After watching a video by "The Watch Guys" and his experience with the brand I decided to hold off. I bought a Seestern Ali Clomage and found it scratched my itch for the look, at least for now. The quality of manufacture is good and close to the new company's standard. I have seen Doxas with good discounts in sales. It might be I should look again. Personally the last watches I'd sell would be my Rolex watches.
Tudor passed 3k price eons ago,infact now is Tudor creeping toward 5k whic is ridiculous considering that Tudor is hommage brand which make one to one copies of Rolex.
'Not that inclusive with non English natives.' That's puzzling. This video is in spoken English so on that basis I fail to see what other parameter would come into effect here. I get 'brand' there are certain big watch brands that never get recommended, at least on my feed.
I have a Doxa 300t in orange, and the seestern 300, and 600t homages in yellow, and white pearl. Great as beaters, and I wear them often, but they are nowhere near the quality of my Doxa.
