How did his association and his way of communication changed from his early days to now. An ardent fan of ARR and Jawed sahab. Love you guys for doing this! For the film songs with AR, Does the the Tune come to you first and then you write the songs OR you do you write the songs first and the AR gives music to that already written song lines ? What kind of interactions happen with AR during the song making process

The portion where she says she sees herself as a medium , a "zariya"and that she can't claim credit.... And that as composer the creativity is ARs, and she is merely an instrument ( I'm paraphrasing of course) is the road to greatness...... And the moment of the episode for me.

National award is guarantied for a singer who sings for ARR that means clearing last paper to become an expert in singing. Unlike managers in Corporate culture, ARR knows how to extract best out of a musician , encourage them and giving credits.

Loved the way you said it! Yes, this is a very unique observation. Right from his first album, so many singers singing his compositions got National awards right way even if it was their first song. This proves how much of an asset his music is to any singer and this can also be the counter argument to anyone who still thinks his music is not for singers and one man show or all that! Not only he’s good at getting awards for himself but for his singers too and it’s been proved countless times including the recent Shreya Ghoshal’s National award win🥇!

They never should have remade Humma....such an epic song should have remained untouched. It can never give the same feel as the original. Ok Kanmani had such amazing songs...the hindi remade songs for Ok Jaanu wasn't as heart touching and amazing as the tamil Album for sure..! Each song is such a magical song in OK Kanmani.

I would always think that if I sing a song and Arr likes my voice and if he gives me a chance, it will be a happiest day in my life. Some people say u have a good voice. At the same time I haven't learnt any abcd of music since my lifetime. Moreover being a muslim woman it's not admitted to learn or sing. May be in the world of eternity god might permit me to sing . Ameen

Don’t know to agree with the Moment or not but the song she sang was pretty difficult and it’s not a preppy number on top of it as it’s a serious classical song based on those ragas and then she also had to improvise it. Though she did a fab job here undoubtedly but my favourite number is down south of the original composition which Chitra ji sang. That was something else anyone who knows it can’t describe it! But nevertheless Sasha too did similar magic of another song she sang for him that got her first National award and also for Arr that year as a composer! Really, that song was the only reason I went to theatre and saw the movie which is a huge flop actually. Songs like these are something only a composer like ARR can do! If not for that song even Rahman wouldn’t have got that National award unlike in Roja where every song is a 💎 gem! Also, the combo of Mani Ratnam and ARR deserves a special mention as they never fail to raise the bar! It happened 6 years back and we Rahman fans are eagerly waiting for another such gem from him. Though his recent Aga Naga song from PS-2 comes close to this but it failed to be an attraction in the actual movie as it was barely picturised among other songs. That was tad disappointing for die hard fans of that song! Even now Rahman has got so much of that quality music that it probably requires a director like Mani Ratnam to pull it out from him! We don’t really need to ask him to repeat his 90s magic only for this is what I would say!
