3 Unknown Deep Ocean Creatures Found by ROVs at Abyssal Depths

Most remotely operated vehicle (ROV) expeditions result in encounters with known marine fauna, but occasionally, something truly strange is found that stumps even the most experienced researchers. These are three times ROVs found strange deep ocean creatures at abyssal depths that stumped their crews, in whole or in part.
This video is my initial response to the recent poll in which I asked you guys what kind of videos you'd like to see, and with over 5,000 votes there was a 52% landslide for more Unknown videos! I looked really hard for unknown creatures I haven't covered before, and these are the three I came up with.

Video muito interessante do Canal Deepsea Oddities. A primeira criatura também me chamou bastante a atenção e cada vez mais aumentando nosso conhecimento desse universo fantástico. O que mais se esconde no abismo? Deepsea Oddities nos responde

🇬🇧 The first fish, not quite identified but named as a Goosefish, reminds me so much of a wonderful illustration in one of Lewis Carrolls Alice in Wonderland adventures. My book was pretty old & inherited from my Grandmother But the illustrations were marvellous & ethereal, quite trippy in fact! Im pretty sure that the likeness of this Goosefish in my book was also a fish but had feathers instead of scales. But the face is Spot On! The big googly eyes, the long sharp nose, the wide mouth & chin full of whiskers! My picture was exactly the same apart from the feathers & a set of little square teeth in its big wide mouth. I wish i knew the artist/illustrator! It was published early 1900s i think. I dont have this wonderful book anymore, i cant think where it went! But as ive had countless moves both in Britain & round the world In my long life, it must have gone missing somewhere, during the years. Its such a shame! The illustrations were Wonderful! Thank you for your brilliant content! I do love watching your deep dives & seeing so many varieties & species. The deep oceans & seas will always be ultra facinating. Peace & Good Cheer to All 🇬🇧👧

Ah, prawns..... I was stationed at Exmouth on a little peninsula in W. Australia in the late 1970s (yeah, I'm that old 😁) and Wednesday nights were THE. time to be down the pub at the Potshot Inn becayse they served a huge platter of gigantic prawns to each table, and it was like a shark feeding frenzy 😛! Top it off with some great beer and a night of shooting darts, and it made being in the middle of nowhere all worthwhile. The locals were so good to us nutty Yanks.
