The Mr. Bali Hai is such a wonderful drink. What a surprise the pineapple+coffee combo was the first time I made it. It's fantastic! Lovely dress, I might add. Cheers.
Loved the video. I’m really curious about Mr. Black, and I think you put me over the edge on picking one up. Plus I love your dress, it pairs perfectly.
Been enjoying Mr. black ever since seeing you first use it. I am too lazy to officially enter but here is my home made mr black cocktail coffeenog: 1oz spiced rum 1 oz mr. Black 1 whole egg 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup Dash of vanilla Dry shake Shake with ice Double strain into coupe and top with grated nutmeg.
Very nice video. So cool that the company of something you already like sends a sponsorship your way. I'm not a big coffee fan myself, but I have a few friends that I will be trying the first one on.
Very interesting, I always wonder how to play with coffee liqueur....thanks for those recipies, but maybe because I'm French I have to say i never tried neither Marmite nor Vegemite, but I often hear of a kinda real cult in UK for Marmite ! Cheers & wishes for a happy New Year for you & your team !
As always beautifully presented - and may I mention the wardrobe department did very well today also! But Vegemite syrup - this is pushing my boundries!
Thanks for showing off these great different coffee cocktails. As a coffee loving Aussie, I'm never without Mr. Black in my bar at home so I think I'll try these out right now!
@@MrBlackSpirits Depends on my mood. When I'm short on time, a quick White Russian goes down a treat. However, I'm always on the hunt for which bar does the best Espresso Martini in Adelaide. Recently made a Dublin Iced Coffee at home which was fantastic in the recent heatwave. Once I get some Cape Grim 666 I'll be trying this Long Black though!
Congratulations. Glad you got sponsored. Had to make the Bali Hai straight away. But then I saw the ingredients for the long black and.... well I think I'll miss the channel. So now you know!
Glad to see they know your worth. I'd never heard of Mr Black until I watched your videos ( and I live in Melbourne) but I have since gone through 3 bottles of the stuff and I can't thank you enough for the introduction.
@@BehindtheBar when i was in the US Army (back when dinosaurs ruled the earth) I did some work with the Aussies. They valiantly tried to get me to like this item. I told them the next time they even opened this foul concoction I would charge them with conduct unbecoming a human.
Great video Ms Cara, you look Great!! As usual, I really like these coffee videos, more breakfast drinks, Hmmm, nothing like coffee in the morning, and seeing you more often, that is a plus, thanks Mr Black, you made my week, think I will try the tiki drink first, love my rum, thanks Ms Cara, see you soon
"The Long Black" is probably the most Australian cocktail I've ever seen... also happy to hear laldy! As a fellow Scot I trust your opinion on this - how does vegemite compare to marmite?
Wonderful video as always and wonderful drinks. And omg Mr Black - it is so good. Last monday it was released here in Sweden and I ordered it at once. Tasting it and smelling it was sheer pleasure. In fact, it is not relevant to compare it with many other coffee liqueurs, it almost defines a new category of spirit. 👏 Of your drinks I will try the tiki first I think. Looks supergood. The last one is insane of course, I think I will need some prep time before I take that leap.
Disappointed to read that the cocktail kit can be won only by Australian, UK, and US residents. Those from other countries can win the cash equivalent, but I don’t need cash. Oh well, I was never lucky in the annual office Christmas party raffle anyway, so it doesn’t really matter 🙂
Not gonna lie, I wasn't initially interested in the coffee--I came here from the lip-biting in the thumbnail 😏. Love your presentation! Especially your guide on Whiskey.🇬🇧
Cara Devine .. what a great name!! Those drinks are all interesting! Wish I were there to taste, but instead, I'll have to make on my own. Thank you dear!! 🤗 Cheers
The Coffee House cocktail is basically a Revolver (or perhaps it’s vise versa). I’m a huge fan of this combination. Is the additional bitters part of the original recipe or an improv? 🥃☕️
Very nice!...... I don't know how long you were organising this collaboration but I was just at the distillery Botanica (Moores Jin) a few days ago telling them about your Channel 😃 great to see it growing and thanks for the tips. They should send you a bottle of 'we three kings' for Christmas.
Glad to hear! We do have an episode on Rum cocktails but definitely need to look at these three in more detail. Out of curiosity, this video is not actually live yet - how did you come across it?
@@BehindtheBar I don't know, I have been watching a lot of videos on this channel lately, so RU-vid gave me a treat 😂😂😂. I have watched the "Rum Cocktails", but an exclusive on rum, tequila and vodka is also needed😁
@@abhijithhb4795 First comment and first watch!! Nice work. And no need to worry, Rum, Tequila and Vodka are all on the list for filming in the new year.
😂 no, I think you’re right! I will let the good people at Mr Black know. Pretty sure it’s open for 14 days so that should mean 18th dec for the announcement.
Tried it a couple years back and really liked it. It's definitely a "love it or hate it" thing as I made my friends try it. Curious how it works in a cocktail
😂 trying to sort that out. Rest assured, the competition does run until the 18th and as far as we know, no winners were announced on the 6th so we should be good for a post 18th announcement!!
@@MrBlackSpirits I will confess that I did not look at the shipping options. The alcohol laws are so convoluted in the states that I went the DIY route. #repeal21amendmentS2
First. Amazing as always - second. What do you think about "luxardo" espresso as a coffee liquor? Btw I've tried the mr bali hay cocktail with Myers's dark rum and didn't liked it at all.. Maybe not a good choice of rum i don't know..🤷
Interesting! Maybe just the chewy toffee of the Myers was a bit much with the coffee? But also everyone isn’t going to love every drink so I totally understand. Luxardo is good, definitely has that proper Italian roast flavour 😊
Excellent content beautifully expressed as always. Cara, when you present your drinks, you always put your left arm behind your back. Is that bartender etiquette?
Thanks Steven! My first bar job was at a 5 star hotel and I learnt it there, hard to shake. Plus, being on camera makes you aware of where you put your hands haha
Good on you for the competition, but as a loyal viewer from Chile, I feel mildly discriminated #saddo. The competitionis only valid for Oz, the US and the UK. #verysaddo #nobueno
Haha, you can take the girl out of Scotland but.......I knew what ‘laldy’ means but not sure the rest of the world does 🤔. Another ‘belter’ video with three ‘crackin’ ‘bevvies’.
I love a coffee based drink, spiked or otherwise. I had tried an Indian spin on the classic espresso martini and just last day, a cold brew negroni with gin, campari, vermouth and coffee liqueur plus few drops of orange bitters and few more of the Indian, Valentino's Pecan Coffee bitters, so awsome the result... My major concern is the unavailability of Mr. Black where I reside, I had to resort to Kahlua each time. I had searched for Mr. Black last when Steve had his contest running, no success... 🙁
