Going on a losing streak because of bad teammates making stupid mistakes (like not grouping up, staggering, etc) is my ever-so-common complaint. I was once a healbot, but now that I went into a "support not healer" mindset, I gain some success in applying pressure and getting kills with my Ana shots. Right before I watched this, I recently leveraged into trying out Brig and finding ways to contribute better if the kills simply don't appear and fight against dives. But again, realistic expectations, there's only so much we can do, so stay strong, supports. :)

as a brig main i usually start my games with ana or bap depending on my tank and if my dps need help fighting and i have a good second support (sometimes if i feel like fuck it if im gonna lose might as well have fun doing it as well lol) I'll go brig and boop and fight with my dps and it usually works, you can follow ur flanking dps with brig too, let them jump in first and come in for your own pinch, while med packing them as necessary its great imo, of course depends on who ur dps is and who you're fighting that will have an impact on just how well that works out but with good shield and pack management mixed in with some good boops and shield bash evades ( yes using your bash to re-position and get to safety unless you see a super low target) is my fav way to play this game

I have a big hero pool so I usually wait for my team to pick heroes first and then pick accordingly. If we have a pharah or sojourn, I might go mercy. If we have a monkey or a dva, kiriko can dive well with them. If we have a tracer or genji, ana or zen will do well. And when all else fails, I pull out moira as a comfort pick.

I think that bap is by far the best support. He has good damage, one of the best healing secondary fires in the game, two brilliant cooldowns, jump boots which are very useful and a strong ult

Totally agree, I'm rather new and I quickly gravitated towards Bap as soon as I tried him. His kit is the best designed in the entire game IMO, he does everything you need a support to do and then some. Only downside is that it takes a bit of skill to use his ult window effectively but you can get away with using it selfishly at low elo

He IS the best support that isn’t Kiriko. His kit is insanely versatile. The only terrible thing about him is his EXTREMELY high skill ceiling, one of the highest in the game, exclusively coming from his violently high APMs. I love Bap, and I hate going against a good Bap that can heal AND headshot me from across the map. If the enemy support is making me mad, they are doing something right.

I’ve been playing lots of overwatch with my group and most of the time I get support. In the beginning I didn’t like it but I grown into it. My main go tos are Moria, Lucio, and Kiriko. As you can see it’s more based on movement towards healing teammates. The first tip you gave was a shock. Thank you for the tips.

As someone who tunnel visions very easily, learning positioning and awareness have been incredibly difficult. But since I've started actively working on it, I've been surviving wayy more and I've gone from silver to platinum in a couple weeks.

Depends on the team setup, game mode, how my aim is, how high the dmg is, how good or bad the tank is and how good or bad my support buddy is. Even when I play good, we can still lose. And the fun thing is, it is always the support to blame.

Honestly I try to stick to Kiriko and Zen as much as I can just cause I can still put out a ton of damage and keep people alive (as long as their positioning and using cover majority of the time). Been hard stuck in silver in solo que trying to practice more with the two plus ana, brig and bap to increase my roster. Part of me still trys to pick up moira alot of times cause its really easy to find that tempo easier but I want to get better at all the others just so as I climb I won't have to rely on her.

You need to learn bap. He is super easy to put out a lot of damage and heals a lot biggest thing is you can shoot mercy pharah and echo when your dps are ignoring him. You can really tear through shields better than kiriko

You should use Moira to climb if you win a lot with her, players get better as you climb and understand your hero pick more and you can play zen kiriko more it’s what I did

I’ve put quite a bit of time into becoming a menace as Moira - it’s map-dependent, obviously, but she’s definitely my most common and reliable carry. My game sense is generally stronger than my mechanics, so I can isolate and punish out of position enemies or disrupt a carry on the other team very effectively using my self-sustain. (If my tank is truly hopeless and I’m the main heal, though, we’re kind of just screwed. So I am trying to improve at Ana, since she can be much more pivotal in team fights

Same. I have a pc now but I started on Nintendo switch, so it was pretty rough. Moira pretty quickly became my main support and I’d say I got pretty good at her. I got my pc so I’m trying to branch out and play all of them except mercy. I just can’t figure out how to properly use her mobility. But whenever it gets rough I always go back to Moira because she’s pretty much my comfort pick 😂

I have been playing support and trying out a lot, but if the team starts to fall apart, either dps arent doing enough damage, or tank not creating space for the team, I just go Moira. She can protect the other backliners and burst heal the tank when the tank misplays with their shield. She's also so good at getting out of trouble if the enemy dps keeps harassing you and sometimes even win a 1v1 if rlly needed to

kiriko/ana main here, usually start with one of those two as they’re my favorite supports to play gameplay wise + i feel the most impactful with them. however if my team is getting rolled or i feel like i could be doing more, i swap to moira and take over the lobby 😭 to be fair though it’s pretty easy to do in low elo against players with bad aim or bad positioning

Career high is diamond 1 but somehow managed to drop to plat 2. Watching this to refresh my support role. I main Ana/bap but am pretty flex I think it’s important to be able to adapt to any situation if you really wanna climb

Bro, carrying as a support is close to impossible when u have ppl trolling on your team.... I have people on my team on a daily basis that play as DPS yet get 0 kills in an entire game... yeah really, this happens to me daily

I’ve played since OW1 and never got out of gold until I decided to mainline Moira to have more influence over the games where people tunnel or do not communicate. Since my Moira rampage I got to Plat 2 last season and I am currently Plat 3 this season. I’ve always enjoyed Lucio and he is coming back into the fold but in silver it felt lackluster as my teammates were all over the place and that doesn’t really work for a aoe passive heal. I’ve also enjoyed Kiriko, played a lot of old brig so I’m excited to try more new brig.

Wait for the rework on her ult I got 66% win on brig and I'm a lucio main I only win 55% on lucio tho after the brig ult buff I may start running her more for me rn I have a good win percentage on her bc I only use her when the map and team comp call for it where as I run lucio regardless of map and team comp

When you have bs dps and teammates who dont peel just go reddit Lucio. Screw healing. Make sure you have speed on 90% of the time and shit on the ememy widow. Good luck !

Literally what my friend does whenever there’s a widow on the enemy team. He spawn camps them and everything lol. He does it as lucio when he’s support or sombra when he’s dps 😂

It’s normally because when I play widow (who I’m still trying to learn. My aim isn’t the best plus I’m on console) he tries to make it so I don’t have to deal with the other widow and it creates less pressure for me. I’m normally the only console player in pc lobbies cuz my friends on pc.

Uh, you should be on speed 90% of the time as Lucio anyway. His strength comes from speed, not healing. If you didn’t know this, I’d venture to say you probably silver.

Unless the opponent team has a good Dva, Moira is the best support in my opinion… especially if your tm8s are self sufficient with their health you can literally do more damage than any other legend… Moira is the only legend I’ve gotten over 40 kills in a match

i had a match yesterday where my soldier who was kinda carrying with 63 kills flaming me for 14k heals as ana, even tho i was changing the pace of fights and creating a lot of pressure for the enemy with my nades and sleep darts. it makes me mad that people don’t have the sense of gameplay as support, it’s not healbot. healing is important but so is effective use of cooldowns, especially as ana

If everything is going wrong I can rely on my Kiriko skills to keep things going. The tools are all there and Kunai are great for clean ups when my aim is online (it's not always online, and when that's not the case Lifeweaver has a much more forgiving primary damage, I just don't like getting yelled at for Life Grip after people told me to trust my judgement and they're at 7hp still screaming at me that I lost them "the most important kill" when they're tunnel visioned).

I take Zen when the dps is unable to do enough damage output and Lucio when the team needs AOE healing and the other support isn't healing well. Trying to learn Ana right now

This is why i play DPS when i have some drinks. My cooldowns are when that shield drops and where i play a spider mine/dart/helix/etc. This is why im watching a support guide

I'm an Ana main but for solo plays I usually try with Ana but if the team is lacking something like damage I can switch to kiriko or bap. If I need to peel for the other support because they are being dived I will go to Brig (also map dependant). If I need to help enable the dps more because they are lacking something I go Mercy. I will go to Moria if I'm not getting any peel and they just keep driving me no matter what character I play and I have like 6-10 deaths. Zen I can only use if I know I have confidence in the team to prioritise targets and listen to callouts.

Iv been playin ow2 for like a week, but Moira became my favorite main pretty instantly. (i guess because i got to diamond in paladins by playing mainly DPS Seris - similiar kit to Moira in ow). I end most of my Moira games with more damage then both of my teams dps's combined while still having more heals then other healer (maybe except Mercy). My best game was yesterday when i went 49/3 (damn that cass stupid lame ult) with most of it being me solo killing whole enemy backline, because Moira move ability is such a troll thing.
