Putin and the Russian federation army use hypersonic missiles launched from jets to attack Ukraine for the first time in the war. Back in 1945 during WW2. The Nazis recruited part of the Ukrainian army to use as concentration camp guards. They were known as the Ukrainian WAFFEN SS TRAWNIKI'S. THEY were known for THEIR extreme brutality against concentration camp and POW Camp prisoners. The current Ukrainian army wear the WAFFEN SS TRAWNIKI'S patch today. I posted THIS info as an FYI.

Apparently it is not the capability of the air defence systems which is suited to the more standardized missiles. The problem is that the hypersonic missiles are so fast that is, to date, too fast to be able to shoot down.

The US has no missile defense against hypersonic missiles from jets bombers or ships. These hypersonics run at Mach 10, our best anti missile system Thaad runs at best 1.5 Mach and they are not in Ukraine yet. They have the Patriots that are Mach one. Elon Musk says that US military and NASA computers run on milliseconds and his, China and Russia have computers that run on micro seconds, and that’s why we can’t negotiate Mach 10 speeds. @@TheBarnestah The fastest missile the US has which is not yet deployed is 1.5 Mach called Supersonic not hypersonic. We have tested but not perfected what you mention. We only ever hit one Mach 1.5 missile in the development of an anti missile system which said tests were conducted from Lompoc in California. At Edwards they test a number of proton engines from the 80s and NASA tests all kinds of new ideas but never to fruition or deployment Russia and China have the anti missile system fully deployed for hypersonic. You should see the S-550 anti satellite system Russia has. Further more China stopped buying chips from the US. Ask Intel and Micron. The Chips Act prevents it. China has a new chip in production that smokes everything we have. You are out of date with your info or may be you believe all the China bashing in Biden’s prep for war with China. My Brice teaches English to English teachers in China for 9 years now. She loves China and it’s wonderful people. Russia is believed to have a very limited number of hypersonic missiles. They are very expensive. The US and the rest of NATO have not deployed interceptor defense weapons for hypersonic missiles yet. On the whole Russia appears to be a spent force.

Stephen, I am really starting to be concerned about the duration of this war. The longer it goes , a better chance of it expanding. Plus, why has Europe not stepped up to the plate and given more financial assistance. I mean America has given over a 100 billion dollars and the eu only 17 billion dollars. We need to stop this spending on Ukraine. Let Europe carry the burden.

I have been following this war from day one. This is not the first time they have used kinzhal missles. And Ukraine forces are surrounded in a cauldron in bakhmut. With one road out. Foolishly they are not retreating or surrounding. Their time in bakhmut is up.
