First story the girl nickname is Nap. Which means count in Thai very appropriate counting her 40000 bhat a month. 5555 crazy money.

I'm a man, but was mistakenly issued with a Gender : F passport, which I tolerated for 7 years. This mistake was only noticed in Thailand.

The 2nd story, I always scan my passport, plane E ticket ,drivers licence, IDP etc and email to myself as well as hard copies.

Quite interesting on the immigration article. Reminds me of the time I came to the United States in 1985. I didn’t bring the pots and pans but brought a lot of books and other personal items you don’t bring on a pleasure trip. I went they immigrations in Hawaii then to my shock we again had to go thru immigration in Los Angeles. Luckily I didn’t encounter any problems. Well I’m still here 35 years later. Lol.

a great book to read is " money number one " i picked up at bkk airport years ago its great reading good advice and all true , with these ladies you can love them all you want , but love yourself a little more , money really is number one over there , you - gentlemen aint even in the top ten and thats the truth too, what i had with my thai mrs in the uk when my mrs said she was thai you could tell what people were thinking then you get a smirk and they asked oh how did you meet each other , it was almost daily here in the uk

Is that the book by Neil Hutchinson.....if so, I went out for a drink with him when I lived in Pattaya. Nice bloke, and his book is definitely required reading for any man before going to Thailand, that's for sure!!

@@davids736 yes is was by neil hutchinson , hes written a second book which i also have , both are like a bible for pattaya and bar girls , defo a must have for any pattaya visitor , like a guide to live your life by , happy days eh hee hee hee take it easy

@@paulb5907 Excellent, I'm glad someone is talking about his book. It's really funny as well - I love his list of importance and where you (the farang) come on that list of importance. If I remember rightly, it goes something like Buddah, mum & dad, siblings, rest of close family, rest of family, friends, acquaintances, dog, fleas on dog, and then.....you! Slight exaggeration (maybe!) but it gets the point across. His email address is (or, was) in the book, so I just randomly emailed him saying I was in Pattaya and, I think the same night, I was having a beer with the bloke. That was 18 years ago, he must be getting on a bit now!

SECOND STORY: Some good advice Re: legal documents; passport, Police reports in duplicate at least, travel Itinerary in duplicates etc. Take several copies of passport for carrying on the street (1 at a time) and if your passport should get stolen and you need to get it replaced.

It was really fun watching my wife going thru immigrations in Heathrow while I waited. I went in with my British passport and was let in immediately. Those with American passports took longer. She didn’t appreciate my comments about these slow ‘foreigners’. I hadn’t been back to the UK for over 50 years. Lol.

yes i have noticed all the good info , ive met a girl from Thailand online on an international dating app OK-Cupid , and going to meet her maybe people might be interested in hearing my story , all the other stories i have listened are all over , mine is just playing out maybe it might be interesting to your listeners to follow my journey and seeing how it works out , just a suggestion for your channel. i mean i must admit i’m sceptical i have no idea what im going too 😅 or getting myself into , i have zero thai knowledge only what i found out on your channel, i’m trusting a gut feeling about a girl and we all know how that can end 😂 , there must be others in my position especially now the countries opening up again

The 3rd story, my Thai wife trusts me enough to go to Patong for a few days to catch up with friends, but if I did something I shouldn't there would be more than not "touching" her again, Marriage would be instantly finished and I'd be shamed by her family for sure.

Great stories as usual Peter, I won't go into details as it is too long a story but I lost my passport in Thailand and to say it was a pain in the ass to get a passport replaced in Thailand is an understatement. I have a copy of my passport photo page and emailed it to myself so at least I have a copy at easy reach, but once in Thailand, it is law that you have to carry your passport as a tourist. I am not happy about doing this so I go to the copy shop, hey scan your photo page and visa stamp on the other side and shrink it down to a business card size laminated copy, and never had any issues with the cops, they just want to know if you are in overstay.
