short, straight to the point, informative. great video! just caught a 3lb bass using an inline spinner. I think they are super underrated and fishing with lighter tackle has been more effective for me during this time of the year. love from jerz
Thank you. I appreciate you tuning in, and glad I was able to give insight on what works for me. Here in the Midwest, inline spinners are used by many anglers. They can be very effective for a variety of species, especially when dial in the proper retrieve. You've got it right. Lighter tackle is key this time of year. Much love from Indiana.
Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. Been fishing in the Texas winter and have not caught anything in awhile. I am also using a bait caster. Keep up the videos!
I appreciate you tuning in, and I feel your winter blues. Persistence and location are key during this season. I like to cast to deeper holes and slow my retrieve. I find success with jigs and downsizing my bait. If the bite is too slow a ned rig can work wonders at pulling numbers. I love a good bait caster, but open-faces have their place as well. Keep casting, and see you on the next Reel Adventure!
I try to use smaller bait with a slower retrieve when it gets cold. But my fishing gets really slow in November and I pretty much hang it up in December until March. I subbed.
From November to December I gradually keep downsizing my baits to keep matching the the size of the baitfish they're feeding on. This time of year is tough as fish start winterizing and their metabolism drops. This is the time of year I focus on the deep pockets as the bass will school in these areas until Spring.
