I have been using Logic Pro for a number of years now but recently took advantage of Steinberg’s sale on Cubase 13 Pro as well as Absolute. Watching videos produced by this gentleman really demonstrates the power of Cubase. You are an excellent musician/demonstrator/teacher Dom. You are a great asset to a Steinberg.

I've been using Cubase for years and only recently started using the chord pads in January of this year. I can play them on the keyboard but not too well and I'm lazy and just want to get them tracked. Playing around with the chord pads and finding a progression you like can lead to a lot of inspiration. I have a few finish songs now that started with me playing with chord pads and humming a melody while doing it and before long, a song was finished. Dom, it would be interesting to see you do a video on how you would use Synthesizer V in Cubase. I use it and it's amazing.

Cubase’s chord tools are unparalleled! I see FL Studio users so excited about IL’s implementation (which is nice they at least included a nice chord tool, unlike Bitwig, which I wish they’d implement already), but it’s likely they haven’t used Cubase’s chord tool. It is so well done, super powerful, and such a time saver. Even if you know music theory, being able to write in entire chords in midi like this makes the process so much faster (beaten only by actually recording the midi as you play live). Cubase did a wonderful job with midi chords implementation. Hats off!

The chord tools in cubase are really not bad. Nevertheless, I have now also bought Scaler 2 in the sale. This makes it even easier to create chords and the possibilities are much greater.

chords pads is my fav. cous you can load a presset and work from there. cous i usally know the key i wanna play in.

I dont know what is REF, but the Tempo is where u can automate the speed of your song. The Marker is where u could mark your project parts, for example: (Intro, verse 1, chorus, bridge, outro..etc). Hope that answer ur question

Why click at all? I'd like something similar to VFX Keymapper in FL Studio, you can set your chord style and simply load your vst and play away, no clicking required once you set your chord. Is there anything similar in Cubase? I am feeling like I may need to stick with Fl st

Dom, Maybe I am doing this wrong but when I am in the chord pad area and I bring up the circle of fifths to right of it and change it from minor to major the chord pads do not update to major chords. What am I doing wrong

what got me REALLLLLLY frustrated about it . . . was when it FORCED me to use its unilaterally chosen VOICINGS :((( It became to bad for me that I eventually had to go and BUY Scaler just to solve the voicing problem (Cubase chord track FORCED me into its own CHOSEN chord voicings). So sad :((

I dont need to hurry to make chords in Cubase, I do it on guitar and then arrange it with keyboards if needed, and if you cant play - learn it. Theres no shortcut in doing music and if you use shortcuts youre just lazy.

You are so awesome bro. Just coz of you i learnt alot of basic things in cubase... Sir can you help me out in one thing i saw in many videos people use mac( don't know the daw) but it's like im playing a guitar part like a tapping but im not able to match that tempo. They use it half speed something, record it in half the tempo and thn they use some shot cuts and it matches the original tempo. Please help me out with this.. 🤗 🤗

I’m a Nuendo user and are considering to leave Nuendo for Logic Pro due to the steep learning curve of Nuendo/Cubase. I'd like to see how you can create a rhythmic pattern with chords quickly? Duplicating and arranging them in the midi editor is no fun. I was hoping I could trigger the chord pads from a midi event, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
