One of your best videos in my opinion. Concrete and applicable. I really like when you give examples on how to turn a unfavorable situation (having no clients, first client would have to take a risk) into a favorable one (client gets his copy for free and in turn gets recommends you). As you did in one of your Vancouver Entrepreneurs Group videos, where you explained how to buy your competition without the necessary funds by making an exclusive deal with your supplier. Great Salesman advice!

It is much easier to listen to you then most copywriters videos on YT. They are too excited. You are a calm and real gentleman and most importantly, you are not "I did it myself" kind of person. I didn't watch all your videos but I will. I want to start a copywriting freelance business, but I think that I am too Introvert for that. I am sure that I can do a better job than most of the copywriters in my country (Serbia), and that is why I want to try. Do you have any advice for me?

Hi Dan, most of your videos about copywriting skill are directed to people that wants to become a copywriter or to people that wants to improve that skill but I havent seen a video about How to hire a copywriter and many people are business owners and they might benefit from it. Thanks.

Adding value first is so important to securing your first job, it's what most freelances forego because there's this huge ego between freelancers of "I'm not going to work for free" when you start... They are all missing the point...no one said to accept a low-paying gig or to let the client hustle you out of money...the point is to find someone you'd like to work with, make something for them that they'll appreciate (give them value) and say "Look, here's some of my work, you're free to use it because I made it just for you, let me know if you like it and we can work together"... That's what I did when I secured my first longterm client...I wanted to write for his blog and sent him a "remastered" version of one of his most successful pieces (as you said with your example, you don't have to come up with something completely new and original, just improve something that's already working) and he absolutely loved it, scheduled a meeting with me and I was hired within days from that.

I like Your videos a lot.. Your explanations are very clear and to the point. I ENJOY THEM!!! I am interested in getting first job as freelancer and intetested in this kind of guiding videos. I have western structured education in agribusiness marketing having Masters degree and having more than 8 years if experiance in ministry of finance and Customs committee of my country. I have a lot of skills and some experience in smm making promotion in FB, as well as in rewriting and copywriting and years of experience in a governmental area making english-russian translations, swot analysis, data entry, making ppt presentations, dealing with conversion of files, I have excellent knowledge of MS office (excel, word, ppt) and basic knowledge of Coreldraw, Indesign, Photoshop. However, in freelance platform I couldnt find a job with profile having no reviews and feedbacks. Even when placeing a bid I am mentioning that i will do it for free as my first job in that platform.. Will you guid or provide video how to find first client. Thank you in advance!
