damn first bios i have ever updated and went perfect! hopefully this fixed the issue i was having when half my ram was unusable and the splash screen saying novatech instead of gigabyte
Just wanted to say thank you for the quick tutorial I did indeed update my system BIOS and I am now able to boot all my current RAM sticks without the machine failing to boot, current running them on a mem-test lets hope it passes and I can have all 32GB working.
The software gives me weird reports like "This Driver cannot be run" or something like that in multiple pop up windows (I'll update tomorrow on what it actually said). But it ran fine, apart from the automatic search not listing ANYTHING on the model list... Manually downloading and setting the program to update worked just fine. Glad to have an update after 4 agonizing years xD
Very comfortable with @Bios APP , do it step for step like he shows , worked 100% for me. BIOS Files stored (unzipped) at SSD . Motherboard: Z590 Aorus Elite . Thumbs up. PS: SSD File system: NTFS

You put the weird format version file on a FAT32 usb. By weird format version file I mean for example, I have Gigabyte B360M-D2V and my last version of BIOS is F12a and the bios file's name is B360MD2V.12a I hope this can help you.

He put the F7 file. Of course not much discussion about which motherboard it is. You can tell only because it shows the board along with the BIOS update. I have a different board and my newest available is F5. So again, not really much help.
came back to say it worked the second time i tried @bios it didnt freeze, I was hesitant to retry the method because of the sensitivity of a Bios Install, but it did work the second time.

amaaziiinnnng !! thanks a lot for your detailed information and I already finished updating my BIOS version to F15b but fuuuuuckk this is the most scariest thing i ever did in my life hahahhaa I tried the last way , at first the writing-erasing process is done with ease, but after my PC reboot , my display is not showing anything within above 5 minutes and I almost reboot my PC T.T but I trust my PC that it will be alright , and finally the system reboot 2 times before opening windows .. and i'm glad I already did it .. I should not updating my bios again, its not good for my health haha

Will Q-Flash still work if the cpu isn't supported by the current bios? I have a Ryzen 5 3400G cpu that needs the most recent bios on my DS3H WiFi board. I'm still waiting on my ram to show up so I haven't tried to boot it up yet, but the board didn't have the "Ryzen 3000 ready" sticker on it, just the 2000 so I assume I'll need the update.
I have a GA z170x-ud3 ultra durable i bought in in 2015. work very well my bios version is the original F2 since then many more updates. I am insecure to update my bios to the most rescent ones what if i start having problems? do you have any advise to give me? would i see a big difference of performance with this mother board? thank you for your feedback
Hi, thank u for the explaining. I have gigabyte z490 vision d with Bios version F6, I wanna update to the newest version . I went to the Gigabyte website and I found 4 versions which is 4, 5 , 7 & 20 now I don't know should I update to the last version or start from version 7. Thanks

I found out that flashing the BIOS through the system is the most dangerous one. You can encounter any kernel panic and interrupt it. If you don't have an EEPROM programmer, you may have a hard time recovering it. Some boards may have more BIOS chips as a last resort, or the bootloader asking to insert a USB with a binary file to reflash itself.
Question. Let's say there's a power outage during q-flash, can I then still use q-flash+ to unbrick the mobo? (Relates to single bios board, such as x570 Aorus Elite)
I use a gigabyte AB-350M D3V motherboard with AM4 socket and a ryzen 3 2200g chooser,however whenever I update my bios it gives the F22 version but on the site there is also a F23d version,but it does not get update that way plus when I try doing it with the file method,it tells cannot read file......so what should I do??
Guys if you have any problems flashing your MB bios, Try to remove cmos battery for like 5 minutes. Also unplug power cord from your power supply and press power button for few seconds. Then put battery back. Bios should be updated with no problems now. Took me a while to figure out. The system became unstable after unsuccessful flashing.
Hello there Gigabyte! So I am currently interested in purchasing the Z170X Gaming 7 motherboard (rev 1.0) There does not seem to be a white USB connector on the I/O panel? Please help! Haha I am going to put an i7-7700K processor in there but I need to update the BIOS to F20 to do so. Without the white USB port, is it still possible to perform the the Q-Flash+ method? Thank you! im having the EXACT same issue, if u figured out what to do i'd love to know, cuz the ports dont even look the same as what he shows in his video. Pretty frustrating... nobody i know has a 6th gen cpu i can borrow to do the bios update either D: < im hoping to update the bios so i can use my i5-7500 that i bought x.x

Most cases the last update is enough however i found that on the motherboard i'm getting (msi b450 gaming plus) i need to update it once before updating it to the most recent bios

Can the Gaming 7 support 6 GPUs ? I currently have 5 and I'm mining Zcash. When I install a 6th card it's just stuck in a boot loop on start up. Any way to trigger Q-Flash on a GIGABYTE B450M S2H that doesn't post? It has no Q-Flash + button or a white USB port and no way to see what's on the screen. The power button turns the CPU fan on, but holding it doesn't turn the system off. The only way is to cut the power. I've tried removing the battery and waiting, jumping the CMOS clear, holding power and reset while booting and even holding bios pins 1 and 6 while booting but nothing changes.
