Congrats on this beautiful bundle of joy! The same thing happened with my second baby. I was only in labor for a little over 3 hours. They checked me I was at 8 cm so my mom was like "I'm gonna run down and grab a coffee and then get back up here before the baby comes." She didn't even make it to the elevator. About 2 minutes after they told me I was at 8cm, I got this incredible urge to push. The nurse was like you ha e to hold it because it isn't possible for you to be at 10cm that fast. But she checked and boom I was ready. She's like your doctor isn't hear yet, please don't push yet. I held it for like 30 seconds and couldn't anymore. I told them I'm not waiting and someone needs to be down there and catch this baby because I'm pushing lol. Luckily that's when my doctor came in. She's like OK ok just let me get my gloves on. Lol. And 4 pushes later my 8lb baby girl made her hurried entrance into the world.
