food made by your grandparents & from their hometown are a whole different thing! for me it had been about 10yrs since i had last visited my grandma in mexico & i too made my list of what to eat upon my arrival hehe. i also got a bit sad when seeing how much family had aged from what i remembered :-( lastly, your grandpa is the cutest w his little sculpting hat! 🥹
The ending brought tears to my eyes, I haven’t seen my extended family since the pandemic and have been so busy with college and preparing for grad school. I hope to travel and see them again soon ❤
I got really emotional watching this, thinking about my grandparents. Even though they live close to me, life always gets in the way and I don’t see them as much as I would like. Sending extra love to all the grandparents out there ❤️❤️
wonderful. thank you so much for sharing. i had no idea that beijing would be so.. modern (which is probably stupid of me). your family is beautiful. i loved that little bear so much!! long life, grandpa and grandma, long life!
My family is also going to China after 4 years! Thank you for documenting these moments- certain aspects are so familiar, this video was comforting to watch it felt like home
Artistry is literally in your dna. It was so beautiful to witness. Such serene & heartfelt moments, thank you for sharing. Love & blessings to you and your family!
I've been following your videos for years now, but this is definitely one of my favorites. beautifully done and the message at the end was perfect. thank you.
i cant help but feel so much nostalgia watching this vlog, thank you for showing us these moments. and your grandpas story as well. i also love the way this was shot, can i ask, what camera are you using? im kinda thinking of investing and this just looks too good
this video felt so warm. i felt like i saw my loved ones. your grandpa is such a wonderful human, art is in your soul because of your family. i lost my loved ones this year, including my dad, so watching this video made me emotional. this was so peaceful, thank you! take care of yourself
Your grandpa is so cute and such a wonderful human, love to see how the artistic genes run in the family ☺️ excited to come by the ceramic pop up shop too :)
aw man, my family is also from beijing and i haven't gone back in so many years. my best memories were with my grandparents in beijing, but they've sadly passed away. thank you for sharing this, definitely brought a tear to my eye.
Such beautiful images! I remember your Grandpa made you the stencil, you used on your physical art and now digitally on your tattoo photos! I also love how the lineage of art goes through the generations of your family :)
Your grandpa looks so cool and magical while carving stones and youe grandma didnt age a bit after her 50 she looks so young and beautiful.I can see where did you get your beauty from.
Found myself missing your vlogs and came across this video, I am in Beijing now for the same reason after 11 years, also feeling the nostalgia hit visiting childhood places and watching my grandma cook :,) I love this place thank you for sharing these moments
i think your videos are my comfort zone, really... i usually don't comment that much but I just wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put into your videos and I hope you are having a wonderful day
another amazing video, thank you! i really look forward to your updates. and thank you for that skill share free trial! you have no idea how much i have struggled to take some online courses on my free time, but you gave me a reason to finally do so ❤
The food list haha that seems to be a necessity. I'm going to China with my boyfriend soon and he also made a list of all the foods we're gonna eat. He misses the food and he wants me to try everything
this video made me cry, it's so emotional to see our loved ones getting older and just the nostalgic feeling of remembering our memories with them...those memories that i could never ever forget and hiding in the bottom of my heart
this is such an amazing vlog and an emotional one too. i grew up with my grandparents and i'm still living with them. i agree that time sometimes feels so slow but fast too and we should be spending it wisely and with people the we love the most. thank you so much for bringing us with you and your family, jasmin!
can't wait to watch this vid!! im currently back home in beijing as well after 3.5 years and i literally couldnt help tearing up on the flight -- its been way too long and i missed my city sm🥲💙
this video made me cry...i used to go to beijing every year to visit my grandparents as well but it's been 5 years since my last visit (was supposed to go in 2020 for cny but cancelled bc of covid). i could relate to your point on going to the same places and meeting the same people every time, and i go to the exact same places you listed as well. the scenes in this vid were so familiar 🥺🥺 your voiceover at the end made me cry bc i can relate when you said you cried when you arrived in and left beijing, bc i always felt these complicated emotions during every visit as well and i know i'm going to be hit with the same emotions on my next visit back. thank you for making such a beautiful video. sending you a virtual hug, it feels really comforting that someone out there has the same experiences and feelings as me🤍
Ah, this made me emotional. So true, time flies. My father in law passed away this march. He didn't get to be my father in law for even one year. But I will cherish every moment we had.
